    Re: CRAZY

ive always found it odd how there can be such big regional differences when it comes to the volume of calls and the time of year, last week was a bit slack but this week its certainly picked up here thats for sure 🙂

february has historically been the worst month of the year does anyone else find this as well ?

Re: Is it just me or is the whole……..

its an increasing issue more and more are expecting me to go out tell them whats wrong with their machine for nothing, like i tell them i have to pay my bills with something and as the saying goes ‘there is no taste or smell to nothing’. not helped by the fact there is some t*** in my area who WILL go and tell people what is wrong with their machine for nothing, advertises the fact too. 😕

    Re: Partscenter Friend or Foe??????

what it comes down to it what i think is how many people are going to think of going to plumbcentre to buy washing machines parts and those that do are going to be a small minority from my own experince of using my local plumbcentre they dont know their left hand from their right hand but then im sure they arent all the same, its all about your locality.

bottom line is though we cant do diddly about it, telling partscentre we aint gonna buy from them wont work as by all accounts (me included) alot dont now anyway. It will more than likely end in them pulling the appliance spares aspect or selling it off.

    Re: Partscenter Friend or Foe??????

Thats true but remember there is not such thing as a suggested retail price, what a person wishs to sell a product/item for is up to them, so my argument would be well thats how much i sell it for 🙂

    Re: Partscenter Friend or Foe??????

probably foe, they need every sale they can make and dont appear to care who they sell too be it trade or public.

Interestingly though if you try and search for the parts on the offer sheet using the model numbers they give it comes back with no records found so unless a person has the sheet with the part number on it they wont be able to see the item (maybe) and the only way they can have the offer sheet is by having an account (maybe)

true its depednant on how often an update was done which comes down to what connectivity you had to their server on how laborious or quick it was (they didnt have suffcicient bandwidth at one point and were using a sat uplink :/) but i beleive the new system shows actual stock rather than averaged days stock , and im not saying this is better than your system just making comment to the different systems in place it wasnt perfect to start with thats for sure but was a definite move forward in its time and did get better, if you ever used their viewdata system it was a massive leap lol

    Re: Masterpart vs Parts Center?

not exactly but it was directed to the fact of ordering stuff to find it out of stock so i was menaing stocklink in its old guise at least, told you the likely hood of wether you would get it or not 🙂

    Re: A Radical Thought

My comments/remarks are to inspire debate on the subject not to step on anyones toes so to speak. Having said that bit it needs costing properly rather than approximations of figures being bounded about , so whoever does this aspect could maybe do this to see the viability , pros and cons post the info so it can be digested and see if it has any or no mileage in it 🙂

you dont need to be near it, ya just set it up, courier to where ver u decide to colo it too, pay the install fee (assignment of ip addresses and routing etc) then every thing else is remote login, easy as abc or 123 😉
