    Re: diy’ers

ok given that i have given advice im not saying no way ho say, but liek the example of the guy who is looking at a zanussi and thinking there is 2 motors, to the point of telling that person how to take it apart, i guess its down to indivduals to how much info they want to give out, but im darn sure that if i rang me local garage and asked something they wouldnt tell me how to take it apart and then what to check. I just think sometimes it goes to far.

    Re: diy’ers

thats not in the context of this website though. as far as im aware there is no other website that has a forum for people to get the type of advice on whitegood repairs than this one, maybe and note my wording, its a case of to much info is being given out ?

    Re: diy’ers

don`t worry Martin`s getting his revenge on a DIY`er by getting him to take the rear casing off a Zanussi to have a look at the brushes

    yeah true enough lol

but we are undersold, undervalued anyway, most other industries wont help the gp in this manner now i know some will argue well that makes us look better but there aint no smell or taste to that now is there?

    Re: broadband

i have used nildram for a few years now, the 2 outages i have had have been down to an exchange fault, which is down to bt. Not the cheapest but reliable and good speeds + you can have static ip and blocks of ip’s which most dont offer, but not everyone wants this anyway. http://www.adslguide.org.uk/ is a good resource for finding an isp that gives you what you are looking for.

    Re: WMA bearing change

Zanussi washer dryer drum repair has (for me at least) over the usual washing machine is that darned door seal Sad

Disconnecting and reconnecting that seal from the heater ducting is the only real problem, the rest is a walk in the park (kind of Rolling Eyes )

i did one of these on fri, why disconnect the seal from the heater duct???

just unscrew the heater duct and it all comes away door seal intact 🙄

    Re: WMA bearing change

well if a customer of mine is prepared to have the bearings replaced on a wma then i would go for it, if they werent then i would go for selling them an ise, when its available, even then i would make more money out of the bearing job and when they have another fault in x amount of time i would then advise them accordingly. Im an service engineer first , salesman second.

    Re: Sneaky Police Speed Trap

i thought this highly amusing in todays news..

‘A driver faces losing his licence after being snapped four times by the same speed camera in under two minutes. The 40-year-old Turk kept speeding past the camera in Switzerland to try and find out why it was continually flashing at him’

    😆
