When Comet bought out the guarantee on the Whirlpool stuff it was only in certain areas, If I remember right it was all postcodes north of Birmingham as I still repair them in Brummie

Re: Prima LPR600 – Get the door off!

look at the inner door when it is open, you will see four screws on each side of the door. Loosen the 2nd and 4th screw up from the bottom and close the door, push the decor door down and pull out away from the appliance. refitting is easy once you see how it is attached.

    Paul

The rough prices £6 for polos and £9 for trousers + vat. I will get the telephone number on Monday when I am back in the office and post it on here.

the only extra you need to pay is for your own logo.

    Re: Whirlpool AKZ ovens

see the odd one blown but most of the time they are dead or you get the F03 fault. Don’t think I have ever saw one blow at the oven bulb connector though.

Look on the bright side Mark, if you buy a board for this one you will get the sheet with all the info 😆

Dave is spot on about why the instructions cannot be published but if you buy one of these boards the instructions are in the box.

Then you have a set for future use.

    Re: Lofra

You are right Del in that the volumes are low. I have had about a dozen jobs since January, had to order spares on about 7 of them and got about 2 without any problem. It seems to be that they don’t know what they are doing in the Lofra office and I am sure someone in spares is dumping the faxes so that is why I email spares requests straight to Lordy now.

Is it possible to look at the 1200 dead calls and work out the top 3 postcode areas that have no cover. If so it could be published in the trade forum so readers could see the potential amount of money that have missed out on and we might get a rush of applications.

I don’t know offhand how many jobs I have had from E-JOBS but it must be 5 or 6 at least so I will check tomorrow and post rough £ note takings for these jobs in the UKW forum if that is OK

    Re: funkyboogy

This might make some sense for BG

The scenario is that in my area BG engineer goes to customer and can’t fix appliance after 3-4 visits.

Customer gives BG grief and in desperation they swallow all pride and call me knowing that I am going to shaft ( sorry charge ) them £75 plus parts at retail which I make them pay by credit card upfront. Customer is delighted when one of my guys turns up and repairs, BTW when they arrive and find something silly like a wire off or customer instruct I have great delight in letting BG know what they paid for 👿

BG could, when they get a problem with a customer and they can’t sort her appliance use their super new system which is post on the trade forums and use the collective experience here to save them lots of cash.

    CYNICAL, no not me 😆
