    Re: Beko fridge freeze recall

I have never came across a Beko f/f till today. Model CDA660FW with a dead mechanical defrost timer. I checked on the list of affected models and this one is not on there but when I look up the part number for the defrost timer it says to order one of the new elctronic timer service kits 😕

Can anyone confirm if this model is affected and if it is not why does it need the service kit

CDSL have the genuine one, part number 524005200 or the pattern one which is ELE10028

If it is the bottom line on the second digit for the freezer it is a defrost heater problem

There is a F33 on this model. Pressure switch o/c or not filling fast enough.

The part number Tim has given is correct. I have the exploded views if you want it.

It looks like a complete drum but it only costs about £26+vat from CDSL

Re: whirlpool akz451 power unit configuration

Looks like this is one that uses the SAM module to programme it. It has been a few years since I did one of these but IIRC I think it can be programmed from the front buttons on the oven.

Hopefully one of the current Whirlpool engineers can confirm…

On some of these you just cut some resistors but on the newer ones you need a SAM module. What was the part number of the board that you fitted?

    Re: pm notifcation

    It works for me too.

Try this, go to user control panel, board preferences, edit global settings and make sure that the yes box is ticked next to the line “pop up window on new private message”.

If it is and you still don’t get the pop ups check in your browswer to make sure that pop up windows are allowed.
