Re: In search of the fourth cord

Makes sense when you look at it that way.
As for not getting through to order spares, why dont you just ask all agents to order via email?? It would free up the phone lines and make life easier.

Does anyone think that Martin is trying to make mumof6 loose the plot here…
I think we should send the men in black to see him for making matters worse

Part number 522402 is the hose you are looking for. If old hose is split wide open check the softner unit as a blockage in there will cause this problem. I always change both to be sure..

Easy to fit, should take 30 mins 1st time tops. If you cannot get 522402 order 522401, its the same hose but a bit longer and is pennies in difference.

yes that is correct, you have to change both stats, both switches and rewire them to get this to work, not a DIY job so I would suggest getting someone in to do it.

Click the “find an engineer button” below to see if there is someone local to you that will take this job on.

Re: Flue Analysers – Gas Safe

I just took a look on the Gassafe site and found this in industry standard upate no 27

It is refering to BS 6172: 2010 and says Clause 15.5 ( servicing and maintenance ) is new and highlights the need that where the manufacturer’s instructions require the combustion performance of the appliance to be checked, that the registered engineer will need to have access to a suitably calibrated electronic portable combustion gas analyzer and that the engineer will need to be competent in its use and interpretation of any reading obtained. So by the way this is worded, if none of the manufacturers you work for require the combustion performance to be monitored you do not need to sit CPA1

I also found TB020 which states that ” engineers who currently hold valid certificates of competence for HTR1 and CEN1 but do not hold a a current and valid CPA1 certificate of competence will have until 1st April 2012 to obtain this qualification”
So if you do boilers it is a must to have CPA1 by April next year.

looks pretty clear to me ( I hope )

It could also be the top spray arm has been off and not fitted back on correctly, take the top basket out and see if door closes ok.

I have just spent the past hour reading the report and I think there should be a round of applause for all involved in its creation, well done guys it looks very slick

I would, being a generous Scotsman buy the committee a drink at Sibson in February but find that I sadly can’t as Carling have refused me access to technical data and test equipment so I cannot be sure if the drink is safe for consumption, on the other hand Jack Daniels gave me all the info I need :rotfl:

I got the same message the other day about my account being over the credit limit, I ended up ordering the parts from Masterpart and AWS. The problem I have with this is that I do not have a credit limit as I pay for all orders with a credit card when placing the order!!!!
IIRC the total order was about £350
