Can you not see all the bulletins Chris?

On the top of the page click on cooling and look at the 4th line down titled “repair guide line” click on it and it opens a full service manual for SxS.

Re: Vented t/dryers – optimum hose length?

Were you changing a cut out stat perhaps?

Seem to get a lot of these with a normal 4″ plastic vent hose which cannot cope with the airflow and blow the thermal stat. These dryers need a 5″ metal vent hose to operate correctly.

Looked through the models and cant find any EU versions there but they do have a full diagnostic manual for the side by sides which would apply to EU models.

Can you feel a click when pushing the middle button??
If not button switch is kaput, If you can feel it click it could be a faulty control board.

Before you press the small middle button make sure that the main oven knob is in the off position.

Alex wrote:Typical, it is all there, last time I went to Sibson my lap-top found a signal, and when I spoke to Mike, he said all it needed was connecting/configuring and he was awaiting BT. That was 6 months ago.

Can we put some pressure on him?

    Alex

I asked Mike why it wasn’t active the last time we were there and he said it was because BT dont have a spare phone line for them. When I pointed out that it was an ADSL connection and they could get it off the hotel payphone line he gave me a blank looked and muttered that he would get it looked into. 😕

I have sent an email off to the brewers asking them why it is not working yet.

Just checked on whether the WI-FI network was going at sibson and fell of the chair when I was told that they were waiting for BT to connect it.

BT must be busy in Nuneaton as that is what they told me at the beginning of 2005 👿

I know my successor will continue that work.

    Anyone know who yet??

I also wondered why the new rate comes in on the 9th of the month?
Time to work on Fisher and Paykel methinks, no increase there in a couple of years..

The part numbers Dave gave above are correct, the single pulley was superseded a few years back and the double pulley will fit the appliance.

Take out the conditioner tank at the top of the agitator, pull out the plastic cover from inside the agitator( these can sometimes be stuck solid ) IIRC you need a 10mm or 11mm socket on a long extension to remove the center bolt, then pull out agitator by grabbing at the bottom ( if you pull from the top it wil split into pieces and you will have a jigsaw )

Then remove the big aluminium nut from the top of the drum shaft and the whole drum pulls out.
    Easy peasy.

I have never saw a drum coming loose to cause this fault but I have saw staff in nursing homes lose washing between the outer tub and the casing, is it possible that something has jammed against the outer tub causing it to press against the drum? Oter tub IIRC is about £50

Re: Whirlpool American collection top loader.

I have saw a few outer tanks with a split in them but rarely find what caused the problem. If the split is not in line with the top edge of the drum I would change the outer tank only.

Not a big job it will take less than 30 mins.
