Eight different versions of this model but only two timers across the range, need the 12nc number to get right one.

Re: Whirlpool USA T/D Parts Required

on the back of this dryer there are two stats and a thermal fuse, the thermal fuse is probably the one you want, it is the nearest component to the blower wheel and has a red wire on one side and a tan wire on the other. This fuse should be c/c. part no: 481925228095

The stat with four wires is the operating stat, the two violet wires should have a reading between 22.4k-33.6k the red and white/ red should be closed circuit. If the operating stat was faulty the dryer would still turn, very rarely goes faulty.

The fan wheel 481951548051 and the resistor is 481912118255.

I have never changed the resistor on this model and have probably came across hundreds over the years, before ordering I would check the continuity of the stat next to the fan. Every time I have a dead one this is the problem.

If you send an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk Dave will sort out the parts for you.

In that case remove the resistors numbered 2 and 3

not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain but looking at the handle I would say it is not reversable. If it is reversible it will tell you how in the instruction book.

It is a modified part but the good news is that I checked one that I have in stock and this board has the resistors that need to be removed in some models.
If you fit the board without removing the resistors it will cause all kinds of wierd and wonderfull faults 😆

If you look on the the rating plate to the right side of where it says AKZ541/1X there is a number between 1 and 39 printed, If you let me know that number I can let you know what resistors to remove and this should cure the problem.

This appears to be one of the newer type ccu’s that dont have the links. These boards can be reprogrammed using the SAM module and it sounds like either faulty software or the wrong board fitted.

post up the 12nc number and also the part number that was fitted and I will check when I get into the office in the morning.

    Re: New PC’s.

God Ken, dont start on this subject!!!

I have a simple way of dealing with this.

On the office server always back up Astro, email and my documents.
On the home pc put anything of any importance in my documents and back up daily.

I find that once every 6-9 months I have to flatten my home computer ( Windows XP ) due to software problems, and I never trust the files and settings transfer wizard to restore my files. As far as I can see its a problem associated with the crap that comes in with the web.

But in saying that I purchased a new server 2 years ago, top of the line Compaq Ml370 came with 2 power supplies, 2 video cards, 2 Xeon processors and 6 scsi hard drives in a raid mirrored and stripped and it is the dogs bollocks, just logged on and checked and it has been up and running for nearly 2 years without a reboot. Had a problem with a power supply last year and HP sent me a new one, plugged it in hot with no probs at all.

Point being, buy a bit of quality and be rewarded with no hassle.
