If its Date Code 03 it should be 35mm, it was later when they meddled with changing lower spin speed machines with 30mm bearings.JJ

‘For machines less than 5 years old it would be cheaper for the customer to pay Hotpoint £104 than pay you £130 though.’

Not many end up only paying £104 they usualy get pressurised into paying£160 which includes a years service contract, and a couple of boxes of descaler at £24 it works out at about a £185 before they know whats hit them.

Re: Connect on-line cheaper than Indesit?

I used to use Connect more than the rest but for the last couple of months i been giving more to masterpart and qualtex, and i only use connect if i cannot get from anybody else, i find on major parts connect prices are over the top and it can mean the differance of getting the job or not, i know a guy who only uses connect and was looking for a stat for a cda fridge freezer connect quoted about £70 to buy so he estimated to customer over £100, customer turned him down he later found out another engineer done the job for about £60, i looked up the part on masterpart they were selling it for £13, in the customers eyes she is going to think he was trying to rip her off and his reputation gets tarnished, they dont seem to realise we are all in this together if we suffer they will also. You can bring up the staiistics detailing any fault codes detected, what programe the customer has used also shows if she is guilty of washing out of balance loads etc its handy to prove to the customer its her loading that is the problem.
