Jim the later one can only be used with a lap top but the earlier one can still be used on any machine, but you need an adaptor that for these such as the Wia101 with the module in the console, it plugs in via an edge conector and you plug hardware key into it. jj

Check the sump hose between metering tank and sump if it is gunged up it will, cause the safety shut off to activate.

I,ve used same bit for years and never snapped it, i usualy give the bolt a couple of good whacks with a cold chisel to get it started then they come of easy peasy.

Dont know anybody in this area who have or use the bearing tool, i got issued whith wma bearings and they were in the next return to the stores, as for 1 slot if he is doing them in 1 call more fool him, it is still 2 slots if we dont get the 2nd slot it just gets rebooked, i think he must be looking for the extra £10 or so for doing in 1 slot the company love engineers like that.

If it leaks from the breather hole in the metering tank, you will prob,ly find a partial blockage in the sump hose a good clean out normaly does the trick. ps If it is this it only leaks on the third fill so it isnt easy to find.

After dc 96 Novemeber 2001 Trigger board was removed and cut in stat was used, you have a dc 74 so you will require 6222118 Trigger board it is situated above mains terminal block.
