Thanks Mark & Ken I will let Paul know, I might need to talk to you about this one Ken as Paul reckons it could be possible customer misuse & abuse, I’ve asked him to take photos on the re visit :rolls:

I will double check on Monday when I go back Jeremy but I was told today ALL Engineers will have to take Analyser ACS part and cookers will have to be tested as well as boilers, commissioning cookers on install will be the same as boilers manufacturers instructions or not and results left with print out, all of us went a bit quiet I tell you

Have one that’s done the same, Mark my other Engineer couldn’t find the leak on first visit but knew sensor was damp and also element was open circuit, where did yours leak from, hose to tub or the actual dispenser itself, in your opinion what would be advisable to take back part wise?
Only asking as he has only seen a couple of these and it’s miles away from me so I can’t attend it and I need to give him as much help as possible.

Probably relay on PCB, seen more than my fair share in my time of Chinese tat, Kenwwod, CDA, Baumatic, Diplomat, New World etc etc …………….. :bang:
Advise ordering a skip and throwing it in, will be cheaper for the customer in the long run and save a flooded kitchen, better still you could sell them a new decent dishwasher as a replacement and charge them for taking the old one to the said skip, sorted……. 😆

Martin114 wrote:Instead of separate ios and android etc programs, why not just use a php/MySQL web page with member access rights with, apart from fault code database lookup, a facility to submit new or unrecorded codes for approval.
That way any smart phone with a browser could access the info.
Just an idea 😕I have a contact who might be able to help to do this as he is a software designer and works with MySQL, can give you his email, don’t know how much it would cost though but an inquiry wouldn’t hurt

Repaircare agents are getting phone calls from Connect.
I’ve had the calls as well Ted, you’re quite right I think the Agents have only been buying parts for RC work only from Connect, I have been using other accounts for cash calls, interesting that they also wanted to know who else I worked, for which I declined to comment on, and some of the prices from the likes of Qualtex etc.
If I was cynical I would say not only have the agents been shafted on the DSG rates but Connect have been getting us on parts prices as well since the cuts and now that we have decided to take our business elsewhere they don’t like it :rolls:

ParticipantRe: Bookkeeping software.
Same as Alex, use Sage and the technical help is really good, you do have to upgrade regularly but you can pay direct debit interest free which is handy

Can of silicone spray lubricant, great stuff just tell customers the floor will be very slippery for a while even after you wipe it off the floor 🙂

ParticipantRe: CDA CW 497 dishwasher – error code 11
F11 or FA fault code means water indicator not switched on when water inlet energized, could be 3 things, water in the base of the appliance which will stop it filling, pressure switch faulty or possibly the main PCB control system faulty.
All of these will need a qualified Engineer as you will need to diagnose what is causing the fault, the only thing you could possibly check is if water is in the base tray but you will need a Torx (Star) screwdriver to get the bottom front panel off the dishwasher after you have taken the decor wood door off and kickboard plinth, switch off and unplug from the mains electricity before you do anything :zap:
