some bosch machines (same as siemens) go into fault code when the brushes go and have to be cleared, on bosch machines if my memory serve me right is….turn dial to 6 ‘o’ clock posistion, press and keep holding spin speed button, turn one notch clockwise then 3 seconds later let go of spin speed button then turn to off posistion, but before all this check brushes

remove filters, bail out as much as possible with a cup then thimble….chuck in an old bath towel to soak the rest up, left hand side is the impellor cover, pop that off and hopefully you will find something jamming the pump but be careful cos 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time its chipped glass in there and people cut their fingers!

The proper way to fit the heater as trained by bosch is to remove the cabinet fully from the base, I’ve done a few and I can do complete job in 45 minutes, a novice should do it in 90 minutes, the replacement clip for the heater assembly should be replaced by a thin jubilee clip, I would not in any way try to slot the heater into the old housing, if you are going to do a job do it properly and thats why bosch sell it as a complete unit and the run dry switch on the heater won’t be affected either.

thermostats wont cause an earth fault, you probably find that from leaving it sitting waiting for its part the element has probably dried out, I normally find the heater gets water sprayed over it due to a blockage to the pump casing…if the pump casing top is removed then the pump and float assembly removed there is a small slot on the left the water should pass through, this blocks up and the water ends up being sucked through by the fan and over your heater.

have seen a few AEG/zanussi/ electrolux that have a small relay board behind the main module that causes many heat problems also had a broken wire to lower thermistor even though the wire looked ok externally.

if it is a solid base machine, remove the front door panel, remove the plinth and the corrugated hose on the left, from the sump to the fill chamber blocks up and causes underfilling hence not enough water to get to top spray arm, very common fault on this design, never seen direction motor go on the heaters ever. Usual stuff…unplug before starting!

thanks….the side panel screws speak for themselves but how does the front of the side panels come off and i suppose the sides have to come off to get to the screws for both ends of the 2 hobs?

Leisure rangemaster 110, serial number: 5344 002195, I am awaiting response for part number and cost from Medco as there is 5 different clocks listed, but I am considering by-passing the clock relay as the cooker is 15 years old and never used on timer, so would be nice to know how the big beast comes apart?

    Re: WFL2066 – control board fault…?

bosch modules dont need smart cards…they are programmed by rocker switches with an instruction sheet…i have seen damp modules on these before…they do 2 things….either constantly fill or constantly drain…its 50/50 if the board survives a dry out with a hairdryer…..but if you keep running it then you probably have nuked the board
