sounds like a module problem or is it filling enough? the machine wont go into heating unless wash pressure is high enough ( note the microswitch for this on the heater) how old is the machine? or what is the FD number

please remember safety…especially children out of the room when testing!

YES!…Bosch use a rigid black fill hose for their machines, when the machine stops filling it causes the hose to ‘kick’, normally hitting the back of the machine or the kitchen unit!…pull the machine out and run it….bet it doesn’t happen with the hose extended!

A good quick check you can do is : in the sump the water exits through some fin like blades, these clog with pips and sweetcorn etc, give this a look!…also if the machine drains through a sink connection check the cone that the drain hose joins too!

Re: Bosch SGS56E02GB/35 – lack of hot water

the heating element on these sits in a surrounding casing, the space between the element and the casing is very small, failure to wipe plates properly causes excess food and grease build up on the element and the element overheats and breaks down, if your model has a solid plastic base the labour will be high as well as the part!
The other fault could be the hose between the fill chamber and sump being blocked and causing the machine to under fill, the heater has an activation switch for water pressure, if the pressure is low then no heat!

To get the job done properly call an engineer!

Re: Can’t filter cap off Bosch Washing machine

you probably find that something long is in the sump hose and sitting across the filter, the only way to solve that is to remove or drop the pump down and take off the sump hose from the pump.
    remember to switch off!

Right everyone lets start afresh cos 2 subjects are coming up here!

first: eco ball, its purpose is to retain detergent in the drum but can restrict speed of drainage but will not effect the filter blocking up, it will block up whether it is there or not, if a customer is overloading and a sock gets dragged through then the filter will block fullstop!!
I personally leave the ball out cos it will spin better and leave a bit more space in the sump.

second: Hotpoint designed the heater box first of all with a filter and flushing valve, they redesigned this where a new box didn’t have a filter and the flushing valve was eliminated, not long after they done a u-turn and went back to the filter design, this was probably done to eliminate any burning smells as minor fluff hits the element or as a money maker for future service calls! In my opinion the filter is a good idea but it is a way too fine grade of filter, i have seen machines 3 weeks old and blocked up! you cannot dictate what customers can wash and dry and all types of material will shed a little from its surface. In my opinion put two slashes in either side of the filter, air will pass through and 80{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the filter will still pick up fluff. There are many other manufacturers machines that work perfectly okay without a filter!!

its definitely reset stat needs pressing, they can just go due to the cool down period being skipped or condenser might be blocked….80{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} its a case of reset the stat and off u go!
    switch off mains first!

must be that as the machine will still spin with water in it and it will exit out of the soap dispenser

you have two sets of switches and the paperwork asks questions like hot and cold fill and which make its even going into, the switches are on and off in reply to the questions, study it carefully it will make sense but do it before you blow it!

    p.s. unplug first!

is this the indesit badged dishwasher?
if it is there is a temp sensor off the module, if the spray arms block the sensor doesnt pick up and the dispenser doesnt operate
