The repercussions don’t bear thinking about.Kentish

ParticipantThe rubber pressure pipe can rub away and create a nice hole that only appears under movement of the drum. Zanussi used to have this problem when they changed from the clear material to the black rubber one, and what a lovely little repair it was:)

Participantrocker wrote:Cheers for info, but this door I have covers all the machine..inc soap dispenser & facia at the top to bottom of machine !!
Is this a very old machine, as I haven’t seen a fully integrated Miele washer for years, they are all drawer line.
The machine will have a manual release, as in the link already placed.Kentish
ParticipantThis sounds like a zeolite model. The zeolite gets flooded and then fails to help heat the water on wash/dry. The early ones were modified to help reduce water into the zeolite. I’m no appliance care engineer, but had my own Siemens dishwasher do this twice in 2 years.
The first time App Care replaced all the zeolite components, the second time the dishwasher went to scrap.
It is not a cheap repair.Kentish
ParticipantHad one where the mechanism tripped by the door hinge on the left side had broke, and then wouldn’t move the cable correctly for the auto door open. Have also heard of issues with the locks.

ParticipantThere was a case many years ago where a child was allowed to play in the kitchen, and managed to burn their hands on the door glass of an oven that was on. The parents sued the oven manufacturer as they claimed the oven wasn’t fit for purpose and was unsafe. The oven was tested fully, found to be within BS spec, and the oven manufacturer counter sued the parents on behalf of the child for allowing the child into the kitchen.
The oven manufacturer won, with the judge ruling the kitchen was a place of work and the child should not have been allowed to play in the kitchenKentish
ParticipantHaving used to do gas under the original CITB system, if you worked on an appliance that had any gas element to it you had to do a soundness test regardless of what you did.
I think the disconnecting of the gas pipe by flooring guys may be slightly different as they aren’t repairing that appliance professionally.
Any appliance that has a gas element to it we don’t touch regardless of what the fault may be.October 12, 2018 at 4:54 am in reply to: Bosch Classixx Condenser Dryer steaming up utility room #458407Kentish

Would suggest the door had been allowed to drop when the cords had broke or been broke. I imagine it would have been like it when the first visit was made, and something Inhave seen lots of when the cords break and the door drops..

What makes her think it’s getting too hot?
Are clothes shrinking, or is she opening the door mid cycle. -
