ParticipantHave always found it to be a combination of new valve and PCB to be the answer.

ParticipantI’ve never taken a front weight off for any door seal. Liberal use of washing up liquid and a willingness to make my fingers ache is all I’ve ever done.

ParticipantI had the same problem yesterday, a basket with £235 goods, and currently my bank is showing 2 pending payments and the basket still as it was. Not happy

ParticipantMost of time I find its either the condenser fine fins restricted or the duct filters greased up and just in need of hot water and a nylon brush.

There was nothing obvious when I looked at them, but it may be prudent to at least have one with me if it comes back.

ParticipantCheers for that.
It could have been an expensive discovery;)

Guess it must be one fitted by the kitchen fitters. the bottom does slide up and down (not well fitted I may add as screws loose).
I have seen similar but not on a Siemens
Thanks for taking the time to helpBrian
If the decor door has a hinged section, that’s the kitchen but can be overcome. If the decor door is just one piece and slides up and down the appliance then that is an extra height model that whilst relatively easy to do is a little more interesting to do over the normal height versions.

ParticipantThe extra height Siemens dishwashers can have a sliding door mount for the decor door, but as it look likes it’s just a normal size one it won’t, and so it’s not the dishwasher, but the decor door fitted by the kitchen company. Some kitchen companies use a decor door that has a small section that hinges at the bottom to allow clearance of the appliance cabinet. Often I have seen this sort of thing on AEG, but it may be just because the kitchen is German. If I can, I try and mount the door in the normal manner, and ignore the hinging aspect.

ParticipantCheck the condenser and heater unit for restrictions, including the ducting to door seal mouth. The current dryer assembles seem to block with a waxy gunk in the element box and fan as they inject water into the fan housing.
The seals are quite useless in reality, so I often use the silicone sealant that comes with the dryer heater kit you needed for the modified dryer element. All it is is a heat proof silicone, but was in a reasonable size. I wouldn’t necessarily go changing all the seals, just clean it all up and use a sealant.Kentish
ParticipantThe newer a Miele have a less obvious screw cover that round and flush with the lid. I use a Stanley blade to ease them out, after that it’s the normal way to remove the lid.

ParticipantWorn brushes would be my first target on a Miele that age.

ParticipantYou need a quality Forster bit, I use Fisch. They ain’t cheap, but boy are they sharp and allow you to cut even holes overlapping if you’re careful.

ParticipantIt all sounds worse than the days of the symphony’s system they brought in and the modified sumps we were fitting by the van load.

ParticipantUsed to get this now and then at Zanussi years back. The answer was to space the back panel ( on the side of the lesser cook) on one corner to allow better air flow ( I used to use something like a 7mm nut around the screw).
if everything is working correct, the only thing it can be is air flow, even allowing for a fan oven rarely being exactly equal in cooking. -
