Participantdo you know the part number?
kevinlewis
Participantbeen in contact with Miele who e mailed me the picture of the motor ect. although the motor is split up into different parts only the complete motor is available part number 5000814 at £175plus vat. I then spoke to someone in the technical department who said that the pump housing is available part number 5011732. I feel sure that the seal in quesion is available, Bosch and Siemens have a similar seal, but where to find it?

ParticipantTEIL. 4493460 IS THE NUMBER ON THE PLATE IT ALSO HAS 79341209. TYP MPE31-62/2. THE PUMP HOUSING HAS PPGF30

Participanttried fitting the similar Bosch seal but found slight sign of water. Also motor going to earth again due to the dampness which is making me think that the insulation on the windings has been damaged due to long term effect of the detergent and salts that have built up on the alloy and windings.
I’m still in the market for a second hand motor or finding the genuine Miele seal as customer wont spend over £200 on a new motor.kevinlewis
Participantthanks for the advice. i did look at the filliment connections and they seemed ok but you are probably right especially if you’ve had bother with this model in the past.
not calling until next week so any other known intermittent faults with this model appreiciated.kevinlewis
Participantyes it is the ceramic/rubber seal on the motor shaft. It looks similar to a bosch seal but do Miele sell the correct one and do you know the part number? thanks.

ParticipantRe: EGO selector switch with stat connection.
what appliance is it from? I keep on stock a variety of obscure EGO pan sensors for hobs, stats with changeover switches attached to them plus loads of stats for ovens.
Can you supply the code on the back.kevinlewis

ParticipantRe: Bosch dishwasher hinges?
For many years Bosch, neff and Siemens and more recently on Gaggenau machines, have used an E nr. number which is same as a serial number. They always begin with Enr. Bosch use three leters say SGS then some numbers then usually another two letters say GB then a / then two more numbers. eg Enr. SGS 4102GB/01
Neff use a Single letter to start and Siemens two letters to start then they use a very similar series of numbers and letters as Bosch.
Its also worth getting the first 4 numbers after the FD.kevinlewis

ParticipantDave_Conway wrote:Can you check the model number Kevin, it will have some letters before the 6844 bit 😉
Dave.
THE OVEN IS ABOUT 20 YEARS OLD, AND DOESNT HAVE ANY LETTERS. THIS WAS A COMMON PART WE USED TO FIT 15-20 YEARS AGO.

ParticipantRe: De Dietrich 0825 Double Oven.
if the oven is over 15 years the micro fishe only used the model number so 0825 should be ok. make sure the isn’t an A ofter the number. You should be able to get the part from Group Brandt.

ParticipantRe: Ariston Hood Motor
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately Ariston recognised the part number but explained that you now had to buy the complete motor and housing. part no. for the motor is no longer available.
Any other ideas?kevinlewis
ParticipantRe: DIPLOMAT DW MOTOR
IIRC, this is the one which incorporates a little circuit board. Perhaps there’s a fault on that.
What is IIRC? Theres no pcb on the motor or any sign of a dry joint on the main PCB. I’ll try connecting straight to the mains and see if it seems powerfull enough.
Thanks for all of the advice. -
