Once you have undone the bolts it just falls off just be careful with the plug connectors.

    Yes Mark,
I agree with bob it is quicker than Zanussi and about the same as WMA, you can do just bearings and seal or rear half tub, bearings are dearer than Zanussi.

The direct drive motor pulley off and the 6 bolts that hold the rotor on not the ones that go round the metal back plate.

Re: Too cold Fridgemaster fridge MTRL130

This model had a problem with the defrost cycle not defrosting all the ice, so slowly building up above the drain hole and eventually covering it, usually the water leaks onto the bottom of the fridge then the floor if this hasn’t happened it is probably the stat.

Re: Too cold Fridgemaster fridge MTRL130

It could be a simple T Stat fault but first, I would check that there is a big build up of ice on the back wall all over the upper part, if it is only half down and lower half is clear it will be the stat. If it comes down to the defrost hole it could have a more seirous problem.

    Re: Fridge Freezer Cold Location

Lots of engineers have the knowledge but don’t have the time for an in debt arguement with people that have no knowledge, I use to carry a print out to hand to them.

We also many years ago fitted a heater in some to overcome this which was the second best solution.

    Re: Indi????

The bearings seem fine so I assume that it is the tub that is the problem, and that some of you will have worked out magic repairs, both eng’s checked the suspension due to LG experiance both felt it was the tub so is it a complete assembly?

I have kevlar gloves and arm protectors but nothing for the temper involved.

I have done two plastic tub changes when I was offered work before but thought I would leave it to people that are kind stress free have all the FREE time in the world.
