    Re: Thermometer.

I use them all the time and in fridges take temp of backplate top to bottom and items in the unit you can show customer an instant reading and looks good.

Cookers it is great for oven seal leaks and I test middle of oven with a metal tray in it, though for a proper test I still use a thermometer.

Wahing machine straight on glass door you can actually watch it rise.

    Thanks for your input Mike,
I feel you could be right as the wiring in several places are showing signs of over heating, also both oven bulbs were blown and holders burnt, it is the first of these I have seen and wondered what switches at 175o as it is only at that temp, and trip will reset imediatley.

Well considering I used the megger on everything and could not find anything even slightly out, there is a something happening at 175o that is enought to trip RCD, the appliance has had wires cut neons changed stat main oven supposed to be changed new connection fitted old one left beside it plus old neons.

Hi this model has a stupid system if 90o wash not used in the first 6 washe’s it is deleted from the memory, I can’t find the mod sheet to rectify this, I have the PDA and reprogram it, The only other way unless someone else has the info is to install a new control board and do a 90 wash.

I have now removed wm and descided to check button collector filter!

This has been checked on a regular interval of every 5 years and it has never had a button or much else in it. I was very surprised to find COINS it is a button collector! 16 5ps and 1s and 2 washers.

Anyway helo-75 recommended a haier hwc1460tvemeu couldn’t get one so got a Beko! wife puts it on a 40o wash and 2hours 40 it finished, did the poo hit the fan!
She can do 3 washes and dry them in the old one in that time no wonder customer complains.

Question for KW will the ISE last longer than my old one it came with a five year guarantee so the ISE with ten years should last four and a half times longer 45 years at my age I only need it to last 20.

No its not that also new waste pipe fitted, just fitted new motor and its gone through but it often worked 2 or 3 washes then went faulty, so will try it on various ones again, but I don’t think it is cured.

Pos selector switch these are prone to burning out. This would need an engineer to sort.

Have you checked the bottom element as this is quite common fault.

Re: Servis UK (Antonio Merloni) Bust!?

I got paid last week and have been promised next one ok, but of course who knows! I will carry on taking the risk as I don’t do that much for them, but in the present climate I certainly can’t afford to lose any money.
