    Yes, they are.

But I think you’re just lucky in all honesty as we get loads of compaints and, have had for the past 20 years I’ve been at this, about poor wash results and, invariably, on of the biggest single reasons is either the lack of or incorrect dosing of rinse aid and/or soap powder/tablets/liquid.

    Superb!

You want to see the “dead table” though, i.e. the calls that haven’t been picked up. Kevin and I were looking at it last night and there’s easily over 200 calls missed and many of them are where I know that there are UKW members, but if we don’t have details… 🙁

Also under discussion was the fact that UKW is currently recieving over 1000 unique visitors a day! Apart from the trade looking in you can bet that almost every single one of them found UKW because they have a problem with an appliance. Repairs@ is a golden opportunity to capitilise on that methinks. 😉

Rinse aid is required I’m afraid as it breaks down the surface tension of the water allowing it to freely run off the items being washed. Without rinse aid, even with fanned drying, I should think you would get “streaks” or “run marks” and possibly “spotting” where the water had not carried food particulate off the items and certainly the water would not run off properly.

I am aware that there are systems out there, I think in commercial appliances, that do not require rinse aid but there’s a huge increase in cost of one of those over a domestic appliance. But we only really get involved in the domestics here. 😉

    Re: Site Progress

Being bored this morning I had a peep at the stats.

Looks as if we’ll pass 3 million by the end of this month if the traffic holds and there’s an outside chance, with any boost at all, that we may even just scrape 1 million for this year in total. Which is over half of last year’s entire traffic in a quarter. Pretty good stuff.

    Gets better though, looking at the advanced stats we have had this month;

15896 unique visitors after bots etc are eliminated, over 1000 visitors a day basically.

Also 71.1 {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of traffic looked at UKW from a direct link or bookmark, given that each visit represents 56 page views that would mean that people are returning to it, often. And an estimated 5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of traffic have added UKW as a “favourite” site. 🙂

    Fuck it, I couldn’t wait.

Anyway can someone get the post leaked back to Whirlpool, might cause a bit of a shake up there again. 😆

Other than that, feel free to have some fun with it.

    Re: Service Power?

I was going to leave this alone, but recent events have seen a need to get what infomation that I have gotten out there. Whether it’s true or not is for you to decide, bu this has been worrying me somewhat as I can see shades of PESN in all this.

Alledgedly a certain Whirlpool service manager has been telling Whirlpool agents to “keep in there”, now given that there’s two ex-NESN bods (and one is supposedly ex-Beaver Group as well) doing the job it shouldn’t be exactly rocket science for Whirlpool to work out who it is. Oh and, by the way Mr Whirlpool it would appear that (according to rumour) your database of Service Partners has found its way into the clutches of Service Power from what I hear. Wonder how that happened eh?

Meanwhile Whirlpool are out touting for more third party work so they may well end up competing with this crew as well. Interesting little bit of politics that is and a bit of a conundrum for Whirlpool I expect.

So anyhow, I gets a call yesterday afternoon telling me that SP have moved supposedly. Yep, you got it, into the former headquarters of The Beaver Group, Dave Ince’s business whish has supposed to have been wrapped up. Also in the course of that conversation it would appear that Mr Ince is now a director, shocker.

Now, I don’t know Dave Brock from Adam, never met or spoken to the guy so I’ve no idea what he’s like but it would appear that he’s been charged with going about getting agents onboard. Good luck with that, but it would also appear that he’s forming a shield or break point between the people formerly shagged over by Trubshaw and Ince when they were going for world domination over at NESN. Obviously CDSL kinda slapped them about a bit and that plan went down the toilet and there’s no love lost with MFI and a few others as well there.

What worries me and, gets me up at 4:30am, is that I hear comments such as “this lot may be unstopable”, err, how’s that? Let’s look at what they’ve got in the way of work so far in whites, the remenants of the old Powerhouse policies, basically to clear up the mess for PRG. I suspect that was only gotten due to Dave Brock’s former position. And, well, that’s it so far as I can tell and can find out although they are romancing people to try to get work and I’ve no doubt that the Elesco ties will be being used as well. But insofar as I am aware there is NOTHING IN THE BAG despite the propoganda.

And, let’s face it, what have they got to offer any potential clients anyway? All they can try to do is compete on price with the existing networks and they are an unknown to all, barring previous experience and reputation.

The trouble is, who’s going to trust them with work and who’s going to work with them?

Over the past week or so it has become abundantly clear to me that there is a groundswell of people on UKW and within DASA as well unrelated to either that simply will not work for this outfit. Given that, where’s this 140{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} UK cover come from?

So, if they haven’t gotten the cover or the quality people onboard just how long will it last? Are you prepared to gamble your money on it?

But it gets worse as when you dig a little deeper you find that the Service Power people are software solutions providors as I’ve already stated but, that being the case and them having this wonderful software, why are calls being sent to agents (it would appear ;)) using the NESN call management system? And where did that come from as its a proprietory system for NESN so what’s it doing being used by another WP?

My guess would be that the UK company doesn’t have the funds to pay for the main system touted by the US, different cost centres etc., so they have to bump along with what they’ve got until they can afford it.

Great, but they can still afford to attend the TRIC Awards and, rumour has it, that THEY sponsored a table there. Nice to see our tax dollars at work eh?

There’s more than this but it’s all that is needed for now methinks and I wanted anyone talking to this company to be well aware of what they’re dealing with so that, hopefully, nobody gets stung.

No need really, just use a little intelligence. If we all decide to piss them off then all we need do is post to the thread every now and then offering support or comments. And really over a weekend and keeping it in the scroll for a Monday is enough to do a power of damage to them.

Let’s see, it’s not in any of our interests to support this crew, so why should we? There’s really no politics in it as none of us (that I’m aware of) are working for them, so in effect there’s nothing to be lost and a lot to be gained from doing this.

Adn I still can’t help thinking that this is just another PESN for some reason, can’t think why.

Oh and the turbo dry system is used on a few machines, it uses a cylindrical heater that is very expensive as a general rule to replace. And they do fail, the Whirlpool one (IIRC) was £70 plus to buy in, scary.

    Re: new networks and existing.

    I’ve been thinking about this…

Interestingly Dave and Kevin run for cover when they hear that these days.

Anyway, what if we said that a few UKW and DASA members had decided not to work for this crew due to the parties involved in it and that neither could recommend it based on that and the terms sought by them. Or something along those lines.

I need to think more on how to word it, maybe as a rumour or pass it to Rudi for posting that there was a large faction unprepared to support them.

Any ideas, comment? Or do I just get on with fucking them up? 😆

Leave it at least 24 hours if it’s on its side. But ideally you want to transport them upright and still allow a few hours for the compressor oil to settle.
