They were overstretched at the bank from what I can gather, the Turkish government shut down that bank with rumours of all sorts of dirty dealings going on and, presto, Teba gets stuffed. I’m told that production has restarted but, with the negativity from this turn of events (especially in the UK), who’s going to touch them?

But the point is that they were overstretched or into the bank up to their eyes, the reason for that I’m guessing at. 😉

Sad news indeed, but not a shock in many ways.

Cheap appliances, not a good plan in the grand scheme of things given the givens.

    Re: LICENSE FOR BURNER DESIGN

    Hi Wreckit,

There’s no offence intended in P’s post he’s merely stating what many of us think and, having had personal experience of low cost and low quality Chinese products I can understand it. The trouble is that they are effectively de-valuing an already devalued market and not really doing any of the service guys any good at all. In the interim we already see the European manufacturing base being erroded and that’s not going down too well, which is understandable I should think.

In political terms the Chinese advantage wil be negated through time, but the damage that it can and, likely will, do to the European manufacturers in the meantime could be quite profound. In effect it is changing the global economy to a large extent and it could errode its own primary markets for export, primarily the US and Europe.

But to expect those markets to supply the means of their own demise is asking a bit much when the writing is clearly on the wall.

    Re: new networks and existing.

There’s no personality clash at all, I hate the fucker pure and simple.

    Why?

Dead easy he fucked me over, out and out lied to me in person, threatened friends and colleagues and then took a good friend to court. Not exactly the way to win friends is it?

All of the above is FACT and the reason I was terminated as I was trying to protect others, then Kevin got shafted for doing likewise.

Would I ever trust the man… no!

Ehm, this has been discussed before and it’s not happening. TWR is fine as it is.

    Martin,

Dragan is fine, he and I have been talking on and off for a while now and yes, he is in Serbia from memory which should offer a different perspective for us all. 😉

An APM8522 is pretty easy from memory and it should be a stock item, email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk should sort that out and, again from memory, they’re about £13-15 plus VAT.

Ah, that’s a bit of an error that I can’t look at right now but I think that’s the old mail address that we couldn’t find the other evening. Jess still should have a copy of the email as I have. 😉

If you don’t have an answer tomorrow lunchtime-ish give me a shout.

If you want, the software has already been written to do this and I can get it at a cost. No idea what the cost would be but it’s already populated with a whole load of data.

Whether it can be used on the web or not I really don’t know as it was a stand-alone product the last I saw it.

And if you think those variations are bad, price up MFI vs. GBDAR on A. Merloni spares or some of the likes of Tecnik vs. Whirlpool. It is a tad depressing at times though seeing just how much we’re being ripped off for on spares.

    Hi Moochie,

Dave’s on holiday and I’m out the office this week but you can either mail Jess on spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and she’ll price it for you or Mark may be able to tell you later.
