I do appreciate what you’re saying here Martin but the way that things are now the spares guys often have many more strings to their bows these days and have more of a bearing to we lowly mortals that do contract work. 😉

Jakester you mention foam there, is it actually foam you’re getting as there shouldn’t be any foam? The detergents used do not foam as that would cause issues with all sorts.

Hi Nat,
It’s no problem but there is a change in them as at 11/96 so we’d need to know when you got it or the full serial and product codes to get the right one for you.
Assuming it’s post-96 it is part number 246009800 and is £12.60 excl VAT and carriage and if you drop a line to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk we can get it sorted for you.

Martin, I’ve been talking to the DTi for a year or more about this, these things take time you know.
The insurance companies are as pissed of about it as we are but they’re gagged due to the fact that they all have policies that are sold off the back of the appliance sale and they NEED manufacturer service in many cases to service the product. In other words they’re fucked with nowhere to go and, should they be seen to be upsetting the manufacturer then said manufacturer would pull the rug faster then look at them.
There’s loads more but I CBA to type it.
However the point, that Chris and Del got obviously, is to get the public onside here as well as the media, that’s the pressure to apply not just a few of us banging on and facts are facts. But we have to target it well in order to succeed in this and we also have to realise going into it that this will be a long haul and we’ll lose some battles but we can hurt them, big time.
High spares pricing is not in the consumers interest or ours, nor is it a transparent way of product pricing and placement, we just have to make others see it as we do.

Dunno if Green & Burton Services on 01454 414531 cover GL16 but they do do a load of GL codes and are liable to know of someone in the area if they don’t cover it.
