KeymasterThis was what I was looking for, it’s the BSI standards that still apply:
https://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/buying-advice/cooking-products/2640-bsi-oven-temperatures
Basically, they can get bloody hot! Something in the order of 80˚C-100˚C would not be out of the question.

KeymasterYou’d have to measure the temps to be sure but what they ought to be and where to measure is explained here:

KeymasterYou’d need to open the door up and have a look by getting the control panel off, usually some screws on the inside of the door as it’s possibly not broken but flipped into the “closed” position so the machien thinks the door is closed when it’s not. If that is the case then flipping the catch back to the open position should sort it.

KeymasterSadly that is a commercial appliance that I and I expect, most here don’t have access to any info for as the commercial arm of Electrolux is a totally separate entity to the domestic one.

KeymasterA small foil stick on thing often with a couple of wires out it and it’ll either be open or closed circuit, if open then it’s faulty.
As to a service manual…. https://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/fix-it-yourself/all-appliances/2817-all-service-manuals

KeymasterHave you checked the defrost heater in there is working, if I recall it’s a small stick on one.

KeymasterAt times that restriction, for us at least, is infuriating but it is what it is sadly.

KeymasterOn a large search engine with a lot of power, like Google, you can do it and filter out all the short stuff that isn’t wanted. On a small site-only search run on your own server, you don’t have anything like the power, and searching down to that level is too resource-hungry, so it’s not really viable. And, you get a lot of iffy results.
So the best thing to do is avoid it if at alll possible and a lot of sites built on a pre-defined platform, such as this, you don’t even get the option as it was never built to deal with that sort of a search.

KeymasterSadly searches with three or less characters are nigh impossible to deal with.

KeymasterThey don’t show a cap in that one Dave, it’s an older type with the small switches in the switchback.

Keymasterit does sound like a motor issue and it’s a brushless motor so, complete unit in any event and those are not cheap.

KeymasterIt’s a frost free machine and draws cold air from the freezer into the fridge so though the fridge might be okay for now, it’s very liable not to be for very long if the freezer isn’t getting down to temperature.
There’s no one thing it could be but from what you say I’d be guessing a system problem of some kind that you probably won’t be able to do anything about on a DIY basis.

KeymasterAny idea who they are being sold to or any more info on what they’re up to?

KeymasterCould be any number of things but, without a model etc it’s impossible to even take a guess.
