KeymasterSo far as I know those will all be obsolete now but a lot of them were foamed into the door and irreplaceable, other than a new door.

KeymasterThe simple rule of thumb is, if the unit is running constantly and over-freezing, then chances are the thermostat is the problem. The compressor will not stop running.
Anything else going on and it’s probably not the thermostat and things get more complicated.
You can of course start testing things electrically but again, things get more complicated.

KeymasterIt could be a thermostat issue but that’s the best case scenario.

KeymasterIt depends what machine it is and how old but, it does sound like it’s reached the end of its life from what you describe.

KeymasterGenerally, that’s not a problem but powder trapped in the laundry can cause problems if it doesn’t dissolve correctly.

KeymasterIt sounds like a sensor problem, the issue is getting one.
There’s no stock of the evaporator unit it comes attached to anywhere and, in any event, that’s about £160!
I hope that helps.

KeymasterI can imagine… “Ha ha, you want that repaired, good luck with that..” as the repairer exits stage left.

KeymasterI have no idea, I can only report what I can see and I have no idea if they have the part/s or not to do it.

KeymasterYou’d only be able to replace like for like in terms of the motor, you won’t have any options but the motor is nil stock everywhere with no ETA being given and is the best part of £70 so, that may make the decision for you.
