Re: Smeg Dishwasher DW1612C Error Code?

    Hi,

Thanks for everyones help with this.

According the LED error code, it certainly looks like a reset procedure due to a power surge or some-such-like (E7), is looking for a flow meter which is not fitted and defaulted to factory setting.

I will keep you posted on its outcome.

Re: Smeg Dishwasher DW1612C Error Code?

    Thanks Eastlmark,

    I will try this.

But I was attending a Diplomat wash m/c today and a similar dishwasher to my problem one was installed. I put it on the pre rinse prog to observe the begining part of the cycle. It began like the faulty machine, then the fill began and after 30 secs the recirc pump kicks in.

My problem machine goes into the error mode at this point. It seems likely then that it has a problem motor or starter cap, pcb or if the disp coil has this affect then the coil may be down. 😕

Can anyone give me a price for a motor and PCB for my customers information.

    Thanks

Re: Smeg Dishwasher DW1612C Error Code?

    Thanks Craig,

I have tried searching for a reset procedure but can`t find one. Can anyone advise on this please.

As I said the machine is approx 14 mths old and clean. The water coming in has good pressure and the pump out is efficient. The pressure switch operates but am assuming the contacts are changing over. Does anyone have a part no. and price for this please.

I agree that it seems to have all the hall marks of a `time out`. What I have not witnessed working is the recirc motor. I am assuming it has`nt started because not enough water has entered but could this go into fault mode as described above if no motor action was detected.

I am again assuming it is not getting some sort of signal after this fill time has elapsed so going into fault mode. Is this a machine that can suffer with a spurious dispenser fault. My last resort is to consider the PCB is not responder…how much are they?

    Very helpful indeed.

Thanks for the clarification and teasing that out.

Yes, `accommodate` is much the better word I should have used. 😕

Re: Baucknecht Wash M/c WAE8978 858341312000 Int. Fault

    Hi Folks,

Went to machine and problem occured.

Removed top and rear and checked for inlet valve operation-OK, checked for pressure hose/chamber blockage-ok. What I did find was that the pressure switch (red/brown oval shape) which had a 4 lead plug connector was, when blown into, operating one level ie. clicked only once. Would this be usual for 4 leads on this switch. I ensured all the plugs on the board where making good contact.

I then tried it again and it worked ok and put it through the test programme twice-ok.

I advised the customer of what I had done and the possibility of a bad connection. I told her to contact me if it went wrong again.

Same day she contacted me to say same problem again. She tried it again and it went ok. 😥

I did not check syphoning but will when I return. I don`t think this is a problem as it was happening prior to moving to this house, but I will not rule it out.

This machine is from the Netherlands so I can`t find the part No. for the switch which is on the component 461971049151.

    Thanks

    Thanks Dave,

I will check that it is but it should be ok. £62 trade to me but a price the customer will go with.

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for your efforts but I can see immediately that the shaft will be too short.

    Hi Dave,

This is a long shaft, 2 screws single cct stat.

Don`t quite understand what you meant by `colour tab on back`

    Thanks

Re: AEG Mains Supressor…got one on your shelf?

    Thanks Bryan,

I`m sure it will. It has the plug type attachments but I don`t expect cutting these off and crimping in a universal will be a problem. They are a bit of a rip off price genuine otherwise.
