Well you can see where this is going when you have such a government so into a welfare state system or nouveau-communism. We will eventually have to pay all our profit or wages into a central state fund and then some Bordon Frown will allocate each individual a monthly allowance or pocket money. Of course there will be a well paid and benefited republican guard of public sector pen pushers to ensure we are `farmed` for all we are worth. Then `Oh Joy`, the ultimate work provider, doleing out repairs here, installations there all with the grace of a 99 year old ballerina.

Am I paranoid, no! just schizophrenic 👿

    Thanks John,

I mentioned the overloading on small load setting and was told this may be the cause as staff don`t always change setting.

    Thanks again for your response

Re: Zan D/w ZT695 Not Filling

    Hi Folks,

This machine has worked for three weeks but now shows the same symptoms as the original fault (see first posting). The customer can hear the humming of the inlet valve but no water coming in.

Although the tank looked very clear, is it possible that it could still be creating this problem?

Martinatmull has provided me with some very usefull info (thx Martin). How does the volumetric control operate? And what does the reset valve do?

Your responses are always gratefully received.

Hi, thanks for your responses so far. I have posted some photos of the unit that needs replacing. If you would kindly take a look via the links below and just maybe you may recognise it from something else. Width = 9″, depth = 3.75″, height = 3″. It is a shame to lose a good ship for a `hapeth o’ tar` 🙁 .

    Thanks again

    Thanks Dave,

Paul at DATA has a universal fan so I will pop in and see if it is possible to do a `bodge` 🙂 .

    Re: Ariston AWD12 Washer Drier…

    Hi Folks.

The customer had just moved in and even before I took the lid off the customer commented that she was annoyed as the removing people did not put on the transit brackets.

When I took the lid off the problem showed itself immediately: the plug on the t/d timer potentiometer had been snapped off by the the t/d heater cowling hitting into it during removals.

Thanks for the help especially the “Poke an’ hope or leave it broke!” I am gratefull that a gap in my diagnostic abilities has now been closed. 😆

Re: Zan D/w ZT695 Not Filling

The fault with this machine was not as I thought (blocked metering tank).

The symptoms where the same ie. inlet valve humming but no fill. I stripped off the pressure system hoses and ensured there was no blockages, air locks etc but all seemed ok. Put everything back together and all worked well.

That was last Thurs and have not heard anything back as yet so am assuming machine still working.

What else may cause the pressure unit on the inlet valve operate?

Re: Siemens D/Washer Identification Label Scrubbed Off

I went to back to this machine Friday with a heater that Penguine kindly sent me which turned out to be the correct one 😀 . If it had not then I would have fitted it as per Boro`s posting.

I personally found Martin`s complete tub removal the easiest and it took me just under an hour being my first. I am sure I will reduce that somewhat tomorrow when I fit another one.

The moral of the story is that I had a number of options open to me thanks to the the generosity of this community. So thanks for for your help 😀 .

Re: Siemens D/Washer Identification Label Scrubbed Off

    Thanks East,

Yes I am aware of the faint etched mod numbers. On this you can see where the label used to be down one side of the door. The surface of it feels a bit rubbery like rinse got it or contaminated with cooking oil.

    Thanks again
