    Re: Neptunes new toy

Wife and kids bought me one for my birthday ,they are so much fun once you master the controls .
only downside is the battery pack lasts approx 10 mins ,think I will invest in another one

    Re: Sudbury to the Sea

    Hi Guys

Just to update you, Lawrence and Rob have now completed 1/2 their journey. It took just over 6 hours today, but that included a lunch stop. Lawrence is aching like heck, but hey, he is a bit old !! But it’s worth it for the difference it will make to others in Africa and India. He wants to say thanks so much to everyone for sponsoring him, the total is almost at the £600 mark, so exceeded their aim.
They are now in a cow pat covered field camping for the night, while I have come home with the children to have a proper sleep and we drive out to meet them for the start of the second leg at 8.45am tomorrow. I am sure he will tell you all about it at Sibson
    Thanks again

    Re: Sudbury to the Sea

    Hi everyone
The story is ,that my mate Rob
(he’s the one on the front of the Kayak )and I were doing this event for the challenge ,but then when our Church got involved with samaritans purse Turn on the Tap ,it struck us as ironic that the water that we are paddling on is deemed to be dangerous to drink (I quote “If you should fall in during the event ,DON’t Swallow the water “) yet it’s a lot cleaner than some of the water that people are forced to use daily around the world.
    Hence our request for sponsorship.
We want to raise £500 which will repair a non functioning Bore hole which will provide water to 500 people ,so far at the last count we stood at £220 ,if you feel able to support us please post your amount but PM me your name address & Postcode for gift aid purposes ,I will be at Sibton and can collect money or people can post
    to me

Thanks for taking the time and thanks to Ken for posting this for me (and the edited comments 😉 )

    Re: rangemaster 110

Petalpop what is the actual model no the 110 covers a multitude of models ,the no is on the chassis under the right hand lower pan drawer on a silver sticker ,find it then ring Rangemaster 01926457400 ask fro tech advice .
I have to say every 110 that I have worked on has the fan motor as everyone else has described (did one yesterday).
But they did sell the leisure brand to Arcelik and I have seen a leisure which is actually a Beko

    Re: Perception & Reality

I said from the word go ,if you start from scratch you can start afresh ,all of the old dogma’s and attitudes can go by the way side and we can have representation of the independent’s in the industry that is relevant and not skewed by vested interests.
People have tried to work with DASA in the past and for whatever reason that has not come off .
It’s absolutely right to call them to account for mis-representation ,hat’s of to them for the apology re £1000 quote .
I say time to move on, use the experience/s gained and put them to good use elsewhere.
    Roll on Sept

    Re: decisions decisions

Approx 5 yrs ago I had 5 engineers and lots of headaches ,most of our work came from WP’S.
Now I am back on my own ,working from home ,advertising in our local paper ,I kept the best WP’s ,reduced my area drastically ,I think it was the best thing I ever did .
my cashwork is through the roof ,I also sell new products including ISE , I advertise that I specialise in integrated appliances as all the other eng’s in our town don’t want to know them.
But It is horses for courses as I firmly believe that each demographic area has it’s own make up that determines the amount of money around
