If when you get the back of, the pump has a cream coloured body and red stator then its the pump 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.
They make an unearthly noise but only after a couple of washes back to back .

    Re: Engineers Inspection

interestingly I have just done an inspection for a landlord on a16 month old hotpoint washer dryer .
I assumed that it was so that he could blame the tenant ,the m/c has a hole in the tub the size of a 5p .
My report stated that there was hole in the tub causing water to flood onto floor no more no less.
It turns out that it was curry’s that had requested the report ,they came back and asked what had caused the hole i refused to speculate as I was only willing to report on what I found not on the possible causes .
    They are still arguing apparently.

part should be available from the shop ,the door seal itself isn’t too bad to fit its as you describe it ,except there will be a little spout at 6oclock that can be a pig to fit .
any doubts repairs @ should find you a repairer ,power off plug out before you go in though

Re: whirlpool dishwasher dwf b10 11 flashes

look into the base of the machine ,under the filter on the right hand side is a black grid “carefully” clean it with a toothbrush ,if that works great .
If it doesn’t then you need that part and an engineer to fit as it ain’t always easy to do .
Try repairs @ link on the left if you need someone

Re: Plumbing for W/M – one pipe covered

run the hot water in the sink and wait until the heat transfers through the pipework ,that should allow you to identify the hot from the cold .
or the sure fire way is once you have connected the hoses put the machine on rinse put your fingers in the soap drawer if the water is hot then the hoses are back to front if cold then bingo .
and yes providing the tap is off you can remove the blanking nut and put the hose on .

    Priceless…
P45 is one of the most upright (if a little short) and decent people I have ever had the privilige to meet ,so what..if he has posted on you tube ,the people that would fit there own parts would find out how to do it wether by borrowing the haynes manual from a library,or diving on the internet,How many of us when we have a problem on something google first ,I take Mike’s point about snippets to an extent ,however if you join enough forums then you can find the info one way or another .
There is also a flip(per)side to this once people see that you have to get your hands dirty then they may well be put off anyway.
And as for the public ,the reality is that a lot of them are stupid but don’t realise it until someone subtly points out how out of there depth they are .
Another reality with regard to the public is that we need them to financeand maintain this site ,they drive traffic towards us and with out them we would in an entirely different place .
