Wouldn`t it be cheaper to buy a van and tools, pay a web developer, spray the van.

I bet if you did that you`d get more calls and save yourself £15,000.00.

I never instruct client on any fitting.

I spent many years learning a trade, I hate it when I go to my local trade counter and there selling brushes for motors and telling a client how to fit them. 😡

I supply parts to client, when they pick up I open box, show them the part and they agree its in tact and free from damage.

I then either had it over or if I suspect the client is hassle, usually there attitude, I photograph it.

If they can`t fit it and return it in a different condition, I`m covered I also have on my invoices and explaining that once fitted part is no longer returnable unless fitted by a suitably qualified person.

Just explain as best you can what you did, if you`ve done nothing wrong and they are being stroppy, walk away.

I know what you are saying, but when you explain to customers that a Bosch factory in Germany is the same as Bosch factory in Poland and that only the shop floor language gives away the location, they tend to understand.
    Same design,same materials,same production,same tooling etc. 🙂

Its not though, my point is Bosch are using the tooling from cheaper sources.

There is this myth around Bosch and German products.

BSH Espana when I worked there were using mainly Balay methods and policy and badging the products Bosch around Europe.

I have to say though since I left BSH Espana, they have listened to advice and are quickly catching up in all areas from supply to Tech`s in the field.

When I was there Tech in the field didn`t have tools supplied by the company as they couldn`t be bothered.

They`d send guys to the local DIY stores and buy stuff, then refuse to pay them. 😥

The whole company was a mess.

They`ve now cut a lot of the old corruption and brought in German managment.

This are made by Jinan Hitone Electrical appliance company and sold in Europe, I believe the UK as well.

The Hotpoint confused me because when I looked inside all the trays, cutlery basket and sump assembly was Bosch.

I had to double check it was a Hotpoint and not client mistake, it also had the etched model and info details on the inner door near door lock, as with a BSH product.

And suprise a BSH module with the same electronic issue that BSH issued a tech info regarding the high failure rate of the model.

When I priced only the price of the component, the same module aslo had other models this fits on the info, Indesit was listed but no model numbers.

So I`m not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure, but its possible the large supplier got it wrong.

But if an Hotpoint is made by BSH, its possible that the factory that produced the BSH badged item also supplies Ariston Indesit as well.

Re: Massive Samsung Recall For Exploding Fridges!

Samsung and the whole industry will probably be turning themselves inside out lookin for the cause.

Thats what they like doin, in the factories anyway.

The solution is simple, but expensive.

Remove the R600, you take away the explosive substance and in doin so remove the risk of explosion.

Stop worrying about saving the planet, thats natures job, its done it well for the last few Billion yrs.

Unless your a dinosaur or stone age man, come to think of it, crap, were rogered. 😉

Yeah like clients who bring in the Electrolux Hoover for repair.

We used to wind up clients back in the day when Vacumn cleaners were serviced/repaired.

As for the Hotpoint being Bosch Indesit issue, the easiest reference I can give without issue on this site is too search some suppliers and look at the parts for the model numbers I`ve shown.

If you no Bosch well and Hotpoint Indesit, you shouldn`t have much difficulty spotting there the same m/c.

I`m afraid one person stating they haven`t seen one doesn`t really mean much.

Is the other Andy still around, the one that swapped with Andy Baker to take over Swindon office along with Mr Howe.

I`d have paid to see Mr Howe face when he found that out. 😆

I left when some idiots decided to score Engineers on there little pieces of yellow paper and adjust there performance. :rolls:

    Re: Bosch quality bearings!

I had a call today to a Hotpoint D/W Model no DWF34, also found on the DWF35, DWF30,DWF33 and DWF37.

First one I`ve seen that was Bosch built.

With a standard Bosch fault,M/C dead, pull off module to find suprise track blown on control module, the heater section of the circuit.

Same machine can also be found as an Indersit.

    Re: Fridge explosion

It could be possible that the Engineer installed a TOC or other component, cut the wires and didn`t insulate them, caused a short across to the copper pipe carrying the refrigerant and bang.

I`ve seen Engineers work on appliances returned to Head office that have had such things done and tapped with insulation tape because the tech couldn`t be bothered to rewire the correct way.

I E-Mailed a sales enquiry to Konka who I linked on another thread.

The 10kg capacity twintub they produce can be supplied (in mass) for $82.00.

    Thats around £60.00 mark.

I have to say there is still a small market for twintubs, anybody want the national service contract.

Well pay around £8.00 a completed call. 😉
