If everyone starts pricing the ‘better’ brands at this sort of level that can only help the repair business IMO.Or force them to buy cheaper.
There are chinese factories around the web, try e mailing a few on there prices including shipping cost for a several thousand m/c`s.
I bet each appliance would be under Β£60 an appliance.

They probably finance the business from the sale of Franchises and rental of vehicles etc in the begining, hoping that clients will flock to there super proffesional Engineers.
Problem is a lot of joy public is aware now that the Proffesional companies employ the guys in that region anyway, so they still prefer to cut out the middle man and go straight to source.
I`m amazed that in a recession companies believe that customers are this guliable.
Now do I phone the Engineer who does the repair for half the cost, or phone the flash company, pay them money for nowt and then have the Engineer call.

ParticipantRe: How its done in Spain
I found the sixth one down on the list funny.
Why gaffer tape a plastic bag to the front of W/m and flick the water out when the drain pump fails.
All he had to do was place the hose low and let gravity do it.
Failing that tip bag, undo filter cap and empty to bowl.
I guess the internet is so easy even retards mange it. :rolls:

That was my point, take the lid off and you`ll find they have been over here for a few years.
There was some talk of BSH producing a new brand, if I remember it was something like Viva, i don`t remember the name only that it reminded me of a car. π₯
The reason being BSH was getting to many complaints from clients assuming there quality Bosch for the price of a Ariston would last forever.
So to help they were goin to brand the cheaper makes and sell them for what there worth, keepin the Bosch brand away from Balay.
I guess the recession took care of that one.

I could buy the whole m/c in bits and build it for that price. :rolls:

I think the key word here is Franchise, American style.
By the time you`ve paid all there little professional touches you won`t be earning much.
And you`ll look like a modern day dell boy, rodney you plonker.
There used to be a pink van around our area with an old vac attached to the roof.
They didn`t have the best reputation in the region.
If you need to promote yourself as a professional service in my experience its usually done by people who are either hidding something or got caught doin something wrong.
All the guys on Watchdog tend to over promote our honest they are, I`m not saying 0800 REPAIR arn`t honest.
But you can bet the guy in the pub bragging about his big house, fast cars and great lifestyle is usually a bullsh*er.
The proof is in the eating for me, not the flash menu cover and pretty decor.

Itβs just that some people reading forums take opinion as fact.π
I`m speaking facts, but only what is available in the public domain on BSH sites.
I have 20 yrs within the industry, 8 of those in BSH sites around Europe, I`m not about to commit career suicide to prove a point on a forum.
Unless you pay me. π

They use Free advertising sites to contact clients.
I would never place an order for advertising from a cold call, I`m a believer that if you need something you`ll find it, if somebody tries to sell you something your not lookin for, you don`t need it.
It amazes me that people hand over bank details to a person on the back of a phone call.
Even if they pass you a web address be carefull, its worth using a business checking tool or credit check, I do it through my Bank.
The last thing you want to do is hand over a large cheque for advertising and find there bankrupt before publishing or a scam.

I cannot give evidence of my comments I`m afraid internal information is the property of BSH and as such confidencial.
I`m afraid I`m not here to prove my comments, you can either take them of leave them.

BSH operate three factories in China.
Chuzhou which produces Refrigeration.
Nanjing which has four factories, one produces motors, one Washers, one small appliances, one cooking.
Wuxi, which produces washers.
Both Nanjing and Wuxi export to Europe, Nanjing has capacity to produce 10,000,000 units per annum and Wuxi produces 700,000 units per annum.
BSH expansion policy has mostly included investment in countries pre excisting companies, such as Wuxi which BSH holds 60{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} control alongside Wuxi Little Swan Ltd.
Its not the factories that are import its the people who design the products thats important.
All the little Chinese designer has to do is E-Mail the specs to Poland and the appliance is produced.
Now does that mean its a German appliance, a Polish or a Chinese.
One of the biggest reasons BSH invests in other companies is to reduce costs, it sells cheap machines and brands them Bosch etc etc.
A large percentage of Washers built in Poland and Spain where designed by Balay techs in Spain using designs from the old Balay company.
Just because its a German owned company does not mean there high quality.
They simply E-Mail the various factories the specs found in cheaper companies they purchased.
When I was in Spain, I owned a Balay W/M and Dishwasher, they were the same as the Bosch models, only about 130 Euros cheaper.

ParticipantRe: Massive Samsung Recall For Exploding Fridges!
Its a supprise Samsung Fridges haven`t been banned from the UK.
When I went to do the Samsung update training they sent some poor Korean guy straight out of Uni with a script to speak in the worst English you could imaging.
When questioned on the fact the wiring conversion had some issues, he kept repeating the script, got funny the first few times, then got irritating.
Will this make Watchdog, again. :rolls:

Ebay.
I certain repair agent found out that the parts there engineer was supposed to be fitting were being sold on various sites.
Although a clever fiddle was caught as the idiot was using his name in the contact e-mail address.
Warning sign if your guys are ordering more than 1 part per repair and stating they`ve fitted all the others on every job they go to, check Ebay. :rolls:

Well I guess if your doin doin it its either good for you or not.
