It needs a bit of research.

I don`t put it on here as I don`t want competitor issues.

But you need these guys help.

You simply attach the copied code to your pages, which allows google search engines to find you.

Also think like your clients, ask people how they would search for a repair company.

There is no point being in Yell or 118118 if nobody looks there.

Don`t be fooled by cold calling advert agents, there ringing everybody promising you`ll be top of the list, you won`t there full of crap to get you to part with cash.

Do it yourselve, there relatively easy and cheap.

Mine only cost me £5.50 for 2 yrs and it generates around £2-3,000.00 a month in referals.

How long is a piece of string.

Depends on what you can repair.

Plus thats half the skill of being successfull, there is no magic list.

You`ll need to walk on your own two feet on this one.

Not my local one, they don`t even safety check after repair, so unlikely to know about WEEEEEEEEEEE.

How many Appliance Engineers/Companies have been prosecuted/fined.

I bet its very very very few. :rolls:

    Re: Get this…….

Its a letter from either yourselves or your solicitor.

Simply write the format as a letter, but in bold accross the top under the address details such as this below.

    Mrs Smith
    69 Hav it large st
    Crookfield
    DH99 1DC

    Notification of Intended Prosecution

    Dear Mrs Cheap scate,

    BLAH BLAH Blah.

You have to send nice friendly letters first as its possible the client may have misled them or has a genuine reason for not responding.

After the first few, normally 4, but I don`t wait that long you will need a letter of intent which is worded strongly and slightly aggressive, but not too much, keep it to the actions the law will allow you to take ie issue a CCJ and or remove goods, attachment to earnings etc etc.

Once notice is issued you have to follow through on time, issuing a summons a month after a 14 day notice is not good.

And be prepared that Mrs Skint may no the court procedures better than you and will exploit any mistakes you make.

Not all non payers are genuine, some are smart and have done it before.

The world I`m afraid is full of nut jobs. :rolls:

    Re: Get this…….

After a bounced cheque I write giving 7 days to repay.

Then if nothing they get a 14 day notice of prosecution.

If no reply issue summons to court.

Go to court and get a CCJ issued.

You cannot always get cash back, but in the 5 times its happened to me only once did it get to court and the guy threw the cheque accross the table at the Judge, who fined him for contempt in Court. 😆 :rolls:

    That was funny.

Its also illegal to issue a cheque with the intention of not paying, its fraud.

Re: Dirty Gertie at number 30

Had a call a few months ago to a top of the range Siemens F/F, huge M/C in a house full of Somali`s.

Under warranty with a compressor rogered. :rolls:

Too many cock roaches for me, had to ring office to refuse repair as they don`t pay me for those conditions.

Had to return after Social Services (Who supplied appliance) arranged for pest removal.

Pest removal though didn`t do a good job though, the pests where still there, but at least the roaches had gone.

What I don`t get is why if you`ve left a third world s99 hole do they still live as if there still there.

I guess the third world is a crap hole cos they like it. 😥

I kid you not, I went to a Servis Uk W/M last month and told the client they went tits up.

Her reply was she`d never heard of Servis UK.

Until I showed her the name on her Washing Machine. 😥

I run the free office accounting as well.

I guess its just me being over cautious.

I PAT test every appliance after work to current Code Of Practice guidelines and have C&G 2377 PAT certificate.

So I want a paper copy signed by clients showing test results along with job details, cost etc etc to compliment the excellent work and high labour charge 😆 .

Do any of the Contractors working for say DeLonghi etc use there own or is it all PC based ?
