I’m afraid regulations don’t allow gas appliances to be picked up a moved around like a flame thrower, whilst most people would not, children and idiots need to be protected by the regs. You see the contents of the top section of a gas meter contains just the right amount of gas to flatten 2 of the average sized three bedroom homes. So you wouldn’t want to burn through the pipe that feeds that hob unless your an idiot, you may find it funny but l doubt your neighbours would.

You can get away with cutting it with cutters or sharp knife.

Once the rubber mount and hose clip is removed it simply pulls out. Not had many leaking the trick to the hose clamp is to tighten it enough before placing on hose that allows it to slid into position and not move when you tighten with a screw driver, otherwise trying to position your hand to hold it and have enough room to place other hand with screw driver and see screw head is difficult.

It’s a lottery out there, thanks to several factors not least Euro zone finances. One peep on here complaining about an expensive fridge, which may well have been built in a country by a brand of a lower retail price.

It’s not always the badge on the appliance that indicates the builder of the product. If they placed a badge on a product then on the rating label it stated built for example by White Knight (Crosslee) the clients could make an informed choice, but that makes sales drop and would never happen.

No its grease from the cooking process. Oven are made with materials that do not burn at temperature that the cooker could produce, even if components failed the element will destroy itself before.

    Good result then.

Just goes to show the mark up on that brand and that price does not always reflex longevity.

I look forward to reading the result of your court action for the breach of the Sales of Goods Act, is the retailer going to sue also, after all serious breaches are in this case justified. 😉
