I wouldn’t bother emailing Lamona. The Chinese couldn’t give a toss about issues. Customers demand/buy cheap products, this is what they get.

I kinda agree, but just like parachuting by throwing our your chute and chasing it, one incident has potentially devastating consequences, it is why most take the chute with them. Neff appliances are sold in huge numbers, the 1 in thousand chances dramatically change & it only takes one dead family and a preventable issue on a cooker.

Your lack and others knowledge does not provide enough evidence to suggest the instructions are incorrect, over kill etc. The UK has around 12,500 electrical appliance fires a year, many are attributed to incorrect use, installation etc etc.

If you use a plug on an appliance and use the socket circuit it’s a single pole switch, many kitchens suffer from reverse polarity, meaning only the live circuit is switched, the fuse then is on the return and nolonger protects the appliance or its users.

When you hard wire to the cooker circuit it’s protected by the 2 pole switch, meaning both live & neutral is switched off.

There are other reasons, to do with how protective devices operate etc etc. People survive all kinds of incidents, people have walked away from injuries that others have not, but it does not prove the actions are safe or not, it has more to do with luck.

Ask client if both went at same time, if so check terminal box on base of hob, wiring may have not been secured tightly, links not fitted properly etc.

Allow rats to crap in the cooker then expect it repaired.

    Unicorn poo, Wtf.

Anyway all the insulation contains the liquid waste and all the dark bits are not wild rice.

I thought it was illegal to use deception when agreeing terms, if you suspect the customer has no intention of paying surely that voids the contract.

The items are always expensive. They’ve not changed the way they’ve washed. It’s the machine, it’s always someone else’s fault.

    Re: Bosch WAE24369 damaging clothes

It’s not the machine. The amount of damaged cloths that have label instructions that haven’t been followed is huge. I once did a Tumble dryer fire inspection caused by the belt snapping, the only items that burnt where the ones with labels stating do not tumble dry. Same with holes in dresses that stated hand wash only. Clients just don’t read or understand the care labels. Add to that poor/cheap/old items and it’s a nightmare, old items easily identified by unreadable care labels.

Re: White Goods courses and trade advice please ?

There are apprenticeship available, British Gas currently recruiting for trainee White Goods Engineers with a December start, lasting 18 months with college and mentor. Other large outfits also do or are looking into. The last few yrs have seen more self employed peeps entering bigger outfits and struggling, good engineers stay self employed as they no the work. It’s become a recruiting issue.

Re: White Goods courses and trade advice please ?

It’s a difficult question to answer as everybody is different.
If your a logical thinker, have money, have a workshop, then it’s possible to slowly enter into the industry. But the odds are stacked against you. Ideally if you have contact within the industry it would greatly improve your chances.

A lot of engineers have little basic electrical knowledge and training, they started in brands and relied upon the technique of adding parts until it works. Smaller outfits cannot afford that, so a strong knowledge of fault finding is essential. If you can gain that you stand a much better chance.

Also if you do any work on your appliances always remove the plug from the wall, single poles and kitchens sometimes have a shocking suprise in store.

You need to research single pole, double pole and polarity.

No usually requires new freezer door as the split is in a position making a repair impossible.
