Is the water supply switched on or water present into the appliance. Usually you’ll get a few moments of dull humming if the valve opens but no water passing. If not either try and identify the code or get CDA out.

Capacitor likely damaged other components within the PCB causing it to not correctly read the info from the “sensors”. Would always recommend replacing the complete board as opposed to only replacing visibly damaged components .

Are there “holes” in the hinge, some require pins placing through the holes when the door is then pushed towards the closed position the pins take the tension and the hinges lift off the receivers.

If you’re sure it’s not got more screws, I’d get a strong fit neighbour to help you, your wife or any female you live near will recommend the nearest.

    Re: Staining

The stains all look typical of the examples shown when you google whites not staying white. The pattern on the polo shirt is sweat, so treat that as sweat. The others could be poor materials or dye used in manufacturing, even Ralph cuts costs to improve profit, to me viewing your photos there are several different issues as the stains are not consistent, so you may require several different remedies. We don’t live in a world that is black and white, nothing stays the same and is ever evolving, which is why doing any action repeatedly will eventually have a changed outcome, so stating l’ve done it this way for yrs really means, I’ve done it so many times the change was inevitable. Sometimes it’s easy to make the uncomplicated complicated, women have struggled for decades to keep whites looking white, it’s impossible, like washing machines our cloths don’t have an infinite life span, add chemicals, sweat, mechanical action will result in poor whitescoloureds. Maybe some of the items are just beyond there lifespan or poor quality/workmanship .

    Re: Staining

    Sweat stains.

Google for cleaning solutions , from your description its worth trying some of the solutions as sweat stains appearance can differ, as sweat content differs person to person, you may not see a direct comparison to your stains, proof would be by trying known solutions that remove sweat stains. Sweat stains are difficult to clean in a washing machine without some other help and only affect whites.

    Good luck.

Food going off or temp obviously too warm are all indicators to the layman. How or what are you using to come to the conclusion the motor is running a lot. Again cavity temp is usually the first indications. Switching the unit of to save money is a ridiculous action, beyond the fact you may damage the unit, it will take the same amount of energy to maintain temp as it would to return it to the temp it was when you switched it off. It may have worked harder due to summer temp, losing refrigerant or just a poor pumping compressor or more likely you just increasing the temp going back and forth checking it or its overfilled or someone slamming the door regularly too hard.

Check regeneration tank valve. It’ll fill on final rinse, then wait for valve to pass water through, it won’t drain until that completes.

    Re: Dangerous part ll

The issue is the screw not being tight causing the block to begin the burning process & the clamp not gripping the cable. If all 3 factors had been done properly, no issue, in fact that usually is the case in most incidents.

    Re: Dangerous part ll

The left screw live was loose causing the heat issue which is why the head appears off centre. Had the neutral and earth slipped the clamp had little grip due to outer sheath terminating just before.

Scary still a “Service Manager” inspected the cooker and found no issues with the appliance, after an engineer fitted elements. Same with the gas cooker, two previous “Engineers” carried out work in 2012/13.

This is a photo of the pipe work. It was installed when regs required connection to face down. It’s also too low.

    9. I’ll just get my husband. He knows more about the machine than me.

I now state how lucky you are to have a husband who does the washing for you. The daft thing is their completely oblivious to your sarcastic comments, so funny.
