Re: Can I plug this Single electric oven in?

I’m not being rude, instructions are there for a reason, to ensure that the product is used to its full capability and to ensure the safe installation & use, there not to be questioned. In fact many engineers don’t experience the issues customers have, it’s mainly down to those factors. If clients followed those simply rules, l would likely be out of a job, but daily l experience stupid on a level that it’s down to luck that people learn from there mistakes, one of the biggest being that of not following simple instructions.

Your first post stated it required a 16 amp power and a cooker point connection, your posted comments indicated you want to fit something else. You also stated Neff informed you all their ovens require a dedicated supply. You indicated you do not have one, that your confused now and what are you missing.

It’s plain to me, if your instructions require it, fit it. If you cannot then you either buy a cheap low output cooker with little function ability or rewire your kitchen.

What l don’t want you to do is believe it would be ok to plug it in and find one night your oven begins cooking your kitchen and possibly your family. It happens, l wrote here about a cooker installed on a dishwasher cable, plugged into an extension lead and decided after a few yrs of heating the cable it was then time to set the kitchen alight. The insurance company had issue with paying out for the damage.

There are idiots in this world and some come across as clever, but they still make very bad decisions due to there inability to just follow simple instructions, they know it all.

Re: Can I plug this Single electric oven in?

There are 2 ways of looking at it. You could plug it in to any old socket with a 13 amp plug, it’s below 3000 watt, so why not. The best route though would be not to question the recommendations of the experts who designed the product and get it installed correctly. It will help in the long run, the alternative may result in you having to justify to a court why you did not, it’ll save you money as well as your insurance will not cover the costs caused by any damage.

It’s a lot easier and cheaper & it’s very embarrassing when you hear a person explaining their reasons and seeing the sudden realisation that there justifications really do sound dumb.

    Re: Bad Integrated Appliance Installation

Had one a while back, the granite worktop was bonded to the top of the integrated dishwasher using the material that bonds the granite to the units. Problem being it was not glue but a substance similar to concrete. The worktop was a good 8 feet long.

    “Hello Martin”,

I posted the `Final Result` / Update out of courtesy to Members – this was a very long thread and despite getting responses from some people who would NOT have said what they wrote to Me in person I wanted to act respectfully to the Forum because I received excellent Help and Information about a problem with my Washing Machine.

I wanted to leave this thread feeling like I did the right thing by `Ending it` with the details of what happened.

Please let Me know what You meant by this comment:

BUT, I have to tell you, I’m not holding my breath over this. I feel this ‘story’ will continue. We haven’t heard the last of this…………

IF You have doubts about the Control Module / PCB replacement having solved all of the problems that I previously described that would suggest to ME that You did have views on what was causing the `Strange Malfunctions` on my Fridge Freezer and that You now think that replacing the Control Module / PCB may NOT have dealt with ALL of the malfunctions ?

Leaving Me `Hanging on your words` without explaining what You mean would not be appropriate behaviour for a `Senior Member` of any Forum – causing Me to doubt the reliability of my Fridge Freezer AFTER a Repair without giving Me an explanation is not a `Gentlemanly` thing to do.

Please do the `Decent Thing` and explain what You meant by your comment

    Regards,

I’d have said my comments in person. You wouldn’t have been the 1st. Been on many rodeo’s.

If it’s buzzing could be jammed. Usually due to half load “gate” breaking free, could be cap, could also be water damage due to leakage through motor bearing.

Just goes to prove, had you used a local professional you’d have had your fridge working withing 48 hrs.

Come back to the UK lee8, we can find you a job here. There’s no money to be had machines in Espania, expats are packing their bags and coming home.
A mate has his own outlet in Fuengirola. Doing well, possibly the place idom visited. Takes a guiri to show how the locals should run a business.

    I’m on holiday 😎

Spain is the same lots of little manufacturers outlets doing genuine parts, the friendly local repair guys just used to look at you weird. They only sell the repair service nobody buys spares from them. Don’t ask me why, never made any sense why they would send you an hour into the city as opposed to getting one from their stock and add 35{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.

The photo does not show it on the ground 😳

My photo shows a pipe bent in a way that will cause it to break by simply being in that position without any external interference.

It’s the usual problem with gas safe, one persons interpretation of the regs against another’s, but Ken is right the pipe is not under any threat by being there, the regs are clear, if the pipe was being placed at risk without any interference it would be an issue. Same as gas pipes in the ground, perfectly safe until an idiot sticks a jcb through it.

Gas safe does not work by what if’s. The regs work on facts.

I got readings from the other circuits very similar to the ones he is getting

I only get “1” (which basically means, not working) on the tacho coil circuit.

NIKKEI’s website is a JOKE! :eeek: :eeek: :eeek:

It is only a picture of a website.
    Links, forms, NOTHING works.
AVOID this company at all costs! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL
It’s unusual for a motor tach on a motor with hardly any use to be that knackered, it’s a coil, so a reading should be read unless there is a break on the wires before it reaches the coil.

But you never no, it could be right 🙂

Usually means digging out insulation at the rear. Approx top left corner below PCB approx 10 cms from the side.

Re: Bosch vs Siemens washing machines

Money is key. Siemens are a very good product, just like a BMW M5 is better than Ford Focus. Depends what your wallet and ego requires.

But a common complaint is why has my machine broke. All appliances require maintenance, yet many Mrs Smiths will rate an 8 yr old washer with worn brushes as being disappointed. I had a guy once, his 6 yr old oven needed it’s 2nd element, I’m called under the breakdown policy & he wanted to complain to the policy company that his product keeps breaking.

Some peeps really don’t think before they complain.
