Siemens machines just had different electronics and thicker insulation than Bosch machines which basically used a lot of Balay design.

Your motor looks new, your history would suggest it has hardly been used. I’d be surprised if your motor is faulty. Reading your history I’d be lookin at your motor’s control, pcb’s can be affected by moisture, likely that is causing incorrect interpretation of readings from the motors tacho.
The motor also looks like a Beko one.

Check base for debris around jet, clean burner crown and lid for corrosion. System like old car ignition if poor spark, poor starting, same principles.

ParticipantRe: Cooker for my elderly mum – are all ovens at floor level
Also asked for an oven not at floor level.
We can’t always get what we want. I figured that maybe a compromise was possible. Sine the comment “all free standing cookers appear to have the main oven just off the floor”.
But hey thanks for pointing out my mistake.

How about this. Not so easy access & nowhere near the manufacturer instructions.

You can still get old school eye level free standing cookers which have storage compartments below the oven. This raises the oven more than modern cookers.

Check spray arms, if blocked or restricted this model sensitive to running low water level. The top spray arm tends to get blocked like this

I’m afraid I’m a real engineer, my qualifications make me one as opposed to a technician. With several specialisations & some small mental/psychological disorders.

I would suggest that since setting 1 & 2 both use base element that is the likely cause. The base element usually slides out the rear without removing base covers. If you can locate the terminals there will be a bar cover, follow that cover left & right and you should find screws, undo them and the element should slide towards you, sometimes it can be distorted & broken.

50 faults of Bosch.

Possible control failure which has prevented the compressor starting. If the compressor at the rear feels hot it’s possible the compressor has run for a long period and the thermal protection has shut it down. This happens if the temp inside the cavity has not cooled enough for the control to stop the compressor. If control Is bypassed the comp should run, that would indicate control fault, if compressor is seized you’ll get clicking noise from it. If system fault compressor will run but not cool unit.

You need to keep the room at that temp as the sensors are located around the body of the appliance. Different temp zones mean the appliance insulation is different depth.

An alternative is not inferior. By you asking the question in the manner you have indicated that you are expecting issues with both the components and the diagnosis. That is not an assumption on my part it’s pretty obvious.
Anyway let’s move on and await the next thrilling instalments of the very strange things Bosch fridge freezer do.

Within my trade of course, like you, I’m more than qualified to differentiate between the two. The difference is when an unqualified person makes assumptions.
As for my punctuation, it’s something l do, it’s usually the first sign someone is losing the argument, l just find it funny when they do resort to it.
