Let’s just say retail prices don’t always reflect quality. Much the same way Rolls Royce fitted Ford Transit parts and some Ferrari’s worth millions today have Fiat parts.
Let’s simplify it, you pay £400 a unit for 100 units and sell it for say £800. Someone buys 1,000 units and they may get it for £300 a unit. They may sell it at £825.00 a unit.
You sell it at a price that covers your costs and gives you a reasonable profit. It has absolutely nothing to do with quality, that’s a PR issue.
Commonsense really, but few grasp the reality of business and survive long enough.lee8

Bet who ever the insurance is their laughing all the way to the bank. It can’t be everyday a company gives them money and that company has no idea who they gave it too or bothered to inform it’s clients who to claim from.
I only hope nobody here has contacts within the groups who service our industry, imagine them then claiming none of the companies ever dealt with ISE.lee8

Would the name be on bank statements or cheque stubs. Maybe your accountant would know.

Pathetic. That’s about as much l can be bothered with. Your shit storm won’t be from me. It’s others you should point that finger at.
Like l stated I’m not interested, walked away in 2010. Really glad l did.

When l stated “you had little knowledge of” l was referring to your companies dealings, from your own admitions. You where not running Virgin and as a Director it’s important to understand the dealings of your business, for your own security, standing in court stating your ignorant of your business is going to bring a very negative response as a defence, that goes for everyone.
Again l cannot believe that ISE run by people from the “inside” and sold thereselves as different, standing up for the industry as a better option slagged off the big boys can be so…………even worse for a business not making revenue and dumping clients with expensive
machines with no other part or repair source should the blatantly obvious happen, as you admitted it makes no money.I’ll be polite and leave it there. No doubt someone on here will probably contact Watchdog.

No,you where a director of a company you had little knowledge of. You promoted and sold products via that company that could not be repaired without ISE Ltd trading, whilst slagging of the big boys.
As for making money, you don’t need to “make money” for a lifestyle.lee8

Ken l was kinda not going to stir the pot as you put it, but now you’ve kinda annoyed me.
You lectured how morally you and ISE where acting for the independent’s, you paid proper rates for repair, you supplied proper machines for clients, basically you are chocolate and the rest a turd.
What you actually have done beggars belief, I’m so shocked, why anybody would want or trust anything to do with anything your associated with.
I’ll leave it there, it’s such a moronic situation, I’m actually lost for words.lee8
ParticipantRe: Saes of goods act on repairs
My new yr resolution is too be more honest, no monkeying around. Straight to the point. Dicks need to understand their dicks, it’s to help them in the long run. That way normality can return to the planet and society understand that even though one dick has made money the majority are just impotent.

Can it not be giving to say for example 0800 etc etc and the insurance pay them to repair and parts then sourced via the company Gorenje. ISE did not make the appliance or spares, so as with for example Servis UK the parts would still be available. ISE also did not employ engineers, so the repair network still exists. Why is the insurance unwilling to give the work out, after all all insurance companies do it, I’ve worked for many, never employed by them though as you point out they don’t do it, but they actually do indirectly.

People believed electricity would never “catch on”. Modern History should be compulsory until college age, not many peeps understand that change has always happened, that makes life fun, l don’t want to be fixing the same appliances for 50 yrs, guess that’s why my career has evolved and moved. A friend just got his long term service award, same job for 25 yrs, instead of congratulations l sent him a sympathy card.

I am surprised rapid cooking hasn’t developed into the domestic market. If you for example went into any supermarket cafe kitchen you’ll find a product capable of cooking 15 sausages to a roast oven quality in less than 3 minutes, a tray of fried eggs in 30 seconds. They can roast a large chicken in 5 minutes. So why would you want to in the “future” have a gas burning cooker on for hours.

ParticipantRe: Engineer training
Send Knowhow your CV . As long as you spell your name right you’ll be offered a senior engineer roll. Don’t panic if you do get it wrong they’ll still offer a job.
