Exactly, If they aint willing to pay £25 to£30 at the forefront, Why even bother.
There is so many types of customer, those that LOOK like you aint gonna get the job because they look real hard up, then they shock you and say do whatever you need to do.
Then there is others that LOOK like they gonna say the same as they have a nice big 4 bed house, double garage, half a dozen motors, Then they whine about a £30 set charge regardless of the outcome of the job.
Its all down to perseverence ( long word for me im sure its spelled wrong ) i think, You can almost tell what customer you got just over the telephone call thoughRe: Hotpoint WT540P Aquarius wiring diagram please

I don’t even buy from charity shops these days either, the markup on some things you see ya can actually get new cheaper.I buy a poppy once a year thats it!

If its a managed letting then i would of thought its down to the letting agent to provide payment as the middleman/woman for the client that is the landlord.
Do the letting agents take a percentage?Also if the letting agent contracts you to repair then is that not a verbal agreement? If the landlord has signed to say hes liable for any costs then fair enough, or is this a one off arrangement with the letting agents you contract for?
Personally unless i was getting most of my work from that source i wouldn’t work to these guidlines if thats standard procedure.

I would personally take a second opinion.
Parts are quite pricey for this machine, however i would also personally spend £150 on a machine with the siemens logo than spend whatever it would cost to change for a hotpoint.But even without looking i think £150 for parts alone with your symptoms seems way OTT.
