ParticipantRe: Comet Service & Customer Aftercare
I tend to send customers to comet for replaement appliances as i just cannot compete on price.
Reason i send them there is they usually have a product in stock and results in a quick turnaround for the customer. ( send lots of customers there, not had no bad press from it,and don’t get me wrong i don’t like or dislike comet nor do i use them personally).Went to a customer just before xmas who had a hotpoint 14 months old purchased from curry’s,main drum failure, smart well looked after house just like the washing machine ( looked a day old it was so clean ).
Advised customer to have a whine at curry’s ( but without losing temper ) and see if anything can be done as it had a sealed drum.
Curry’s decided to compensate the customer and i now own their machine FOC.
All seemed to be done within a week and i had a call from curry’s for a engineers report within 2 days of the customer complaint.
Now don’t get me wrong again, i don’t use curry’s , can’t stand curry’s and also dont get the “gist” of their staff as in past experience they tend to come across as complete idiots ( my thoughts only ) due to their LACK of knowledge.
The only thing they seem to be clued right up on is extra insurance gossip.
i think most the time its all down to how nice ya get your gripe/whine across.
I dunno!
anyway thats another angle/story for ya.

ParticipantRe: gone dead
i bought a cockeral for £1 plus 20 pence commision to the auctioneer at the weekend, hes a good cockeral too, hes “doing” all my hens.
Then a allotment neighbour came back from hes sisters farm on tuesday and brought us 36 chickens to share among 3 of us all for free, 14 were light sussex which i must add are extremely hardy birds and excellent layers.
Eggs are sold for £1.50 a dozen and i currently get 2 dozen a day.
However i never sell my eggs to pay for their feed as i tend to give them away to friends family and neighbours for free.
Once you have eaten a freshly laid egg you will never buy from a shop again tbh.

Ya dead right there martin.
Today i had 2 jobs booked in for this afternoon so this morning i got up early and threw my rotavator in the van and went up and turned the 10 tonne of horse crap i spread on my alotment 2 month ago into the soil.then i cleaned the chickens out and took delivery of 5 new chickens to lay me some extra eggs.
Looking foreward to planting now!
bring on the veggies!! yum yum. 😆

No i normally charge £30 regardless if BER or needs a part and they dont want to go ahead anyhow, But lets be honest £30 callout or not, How would they pay it if they say they don’t have it?
They didnt ask if it was FREE EST when they rang, Just booked it in then gave me that crap! But anyhow, if they aint willing or don’t have £30 why the hell ring ANYONE in the first place.
Just cheek if you ask me

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool Dishwasher ADG450/05 Water Heater
OUCH!! TBH ive never had that happen to me yet ( recieving a part that has been used ) because basically 2 things, First of all i would then have paid for a new part that is realistically now second hand, and secondly ya just don’t know if it has been damaged.
I would seriously be returning it without using it if i found this to be the case upon delivery.

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool Dishwasher ADG450/05 Water Heater
yes it is!
Ive just entered bosch part number into connect and now its £44.24
Main reason i use them is nearly everything i need is in stock ( we all know how customers like things done last week ).
If anyone knows of another supplier with a vast stock and realistic prices then throw them my way and i will guarantee to use them from now on.

yes they locate in the little rounded grooves at the front….. sometimes if u look very very closely u will see very small indentations were they have been pressing into the plastic.

ParticipantRe: dishwashers
It’s highly possible that if it doesn’t heat then it cannot move onto its next stage in the cycle which would be drain then fresh water to rinse?
The only way to find these kind of faults is stripping down and testing.

ParticipantRe: E-Spares Illegal, Dangerous and Outrageous Claims
