found this intresting it may help tho

    A) DESCRIPTION OF THE TROUBLE:
We’ve recently been informed of some rare cases of the trouble as in subject, where the
selection of the “Easy Ironing” function coupled to one of the Washing Programs of the ranges
for Mixed & Delicate Tissues, was apparently resulting into a never ending Washing Phase.
Since the Phase of Washing is not going to end normally, it’s then necessary to move the
Programs Selector knob back to the OFF position, and keep it there for some moments. Then,
manually set the “Rinse Only” Program, to end the washing.

    B) SOLUTION OF THE TROUBLE:
The “Cuore” Power Module originally fitted in the Factory on the Appliances as in subject, is
not reliable enough and must not be reprogrammed. Therefore replace the original Power
Module with a not programmed spare one by GIAS and P/N. 49019555. Program the new
Power Module with the related Software, with the MEM Programming Tool.
Should the MEM Programming Tool not be available, please order to GIAS the related already
programmed Power Module, getting its part number from the Spares List of the Giastech Web.

    Re: Hotpoint 9414 twin tub

no need to remove gearbox .. cabinet off , tripod off , Big plastic nut off at bottom of tub .disconect all leads from tub
and sump hose , now its been a while since ive done one ….
now you should be able to pull the top up and to one side so you can remove the tub at an angle ,3 bolts hold the surport
shaft , and off you go replace the new surport shaft and rebuild . dont for get the tub seal lol , no glue or debore needed ..

wow that brought some memories back , now iff ive forgot some thing please comment ..

Again all other selections are perfect. (Selector issues Ive had before have been iffy on other programmes.)

They buy crap, they get crap…fair exchange, no robbery.

A bit harsh Martin. To date, touch wood, Ive found the Optima range a good buy. Still waiting to see how the sealed drums hold out but still early days. Ive never understood why the majority of people on this site are so negative towards Hoover.
Thanks though for your explanation on OOB. 😉

yes a little harsh there martin.. as we sell an awfull lot of hoover candy, dont really have any problems at all with this range or the rest of them , probs one of our most reliable and trust worthey we sell . look at the forums see how many bosch and zanussi questions there is ? not many hoover candy . :boops: sorry :offtopic:

    Selector every time 🙂
