Have you done a search on that model no? Similar symptoms have been discussed.
Probably teaching granny to suck here. Usually brushes or a dicky armature, ohm meter across the brushes (analogue is best) and turn the armature very, very slowly, there should be no discernable deflection of the needle on the metermaltheviking

Most big supermarkets will take the Scottish notes but Debenhams in Nuneaton refused point blank, even after several minutes argument! I don’t know if Debenhams have a shop in Carlisle but it would be interesting to see if they could get away with such a rule.Nah they still take Scoty poooond notes in Carlisle, the city was once part of Scoootland you know 😉 that why we all talk with a wierd accent 😯
If anyone is struggling with getting rid of these said notes then please allow me to give you my bank details to deposit them in , dont want to see you stuck with them, bit of northern hospitality :rotl:

Not sure if everyone knows this 😉 If you have an account with Connect, then if you search “by brand” ie zanussi then model, then the TDS info is available for quite a few of the current models, service manuals, diagnostics etc.
Just save what you need to your computer and you have it 😀Not often I say this but well done Connect this is the way to go in keeping yourselves and us in business, shame you can’t get all the other manufacturers doing the same 🙂

I dont think luck comes into it 😉 you make your own luck in this world. I think it’s just a case of wait and see, luckly I have enough put aside in the business to ride the storm, saying that although work is down I stilll manage to cover costs.
I think it’s down to the uncertenty of what the economy and government make of it, we just need public confidence. What puzzles me is that new car sales were up last month 😕 , there must still be money around it’s just the typical punter being penny wise pound stupid, IMO.
I look forward to hearing that everyone’s business starts to pick up again 😉
Dont’panic Mr Mainwaring 🙂maltheviking

I have read most of the threads on “stuck on test”
I never suspected that it may be the pcb, Hotshyte dont have problems do they :rotl:maltheviking
ParticipantRe: When to ring a customers neck…or not
Left a service manual at a customers once, didn’t need it again for weeks when I discovered it missing. One of the Last Hotpoint manuals available.
I sat there for an hour or two and worked out where I had used it last, came up with the said customer and phoned him, yes it’s here I put it away in a cupboard as I thought it might come in usefull, to do WHAT, wipe his arse with!maltheviking

Work will come back, don’t panic Mr Mainwaring. 😛
It’s probably the same all around the country but around here there are a few new boys Ex Comet who are giving it a go. I heard last week that one of them is doing repairs for £25 + parts in my patch! he lives 18 miles away. 😕 One of the local shops is also advertising repairs, so I have three of them eating away at my customer base, fortunatly most are loyal to me as I have given a good service over the years but it does make me wonder. I was concerned about the diminishing call rate coming in but hearing that it is the same all around the country I am now a bit less concerned.
Hope it picks up for you all 😉maltheviking
