chamber, could I remove this to increase water flow rate?
John
No don’t remove it, it’s there for a reason BUT take it out and have a look up the tube behind it or even remove this tube and inspect , it may have a partial blockage that is moving up and down the tube, although, this should not cause your problem but still worth a check.

Thanks for the info – will get them to try it. I assume that the door lock is on a pressure switch and will unlock when the water level falls below a specified level.
Dave.
If I remember right, no it’s just a basic “electric on, door locked ” interlock. Indesit never went to such extravagance 😆

Hi all,
Mum and Dad just moved into a new house and inherited this machine.
Its worked ok a few times but now its stopped dead and wont do anything even if you advance the programme manually.
Worst of all theres a load inside and the water wont drain. Tried a new fuse but still nothing.Any ideas appreciated,
Dave.
Hi Dave
Have you checked the 13 amp socket outlet for the washer? plug something else in and see. If it’s dead check to see if there is a switch above the worktop that may also be in the circuit (may also have a fuse in it). If there is still no power then check at the main fuse box for the house and see if anything has tripped, if there is then reset it with the washing machine unpluged. Then plug the machine back in if it trips again then you may have a serious fault with the machine DO NOT try it again and you will need to call in an engineer. To get the water out of the machine you will have to drop the drain hose from the machine (at the back) into a “washing up”bowl or similar. Hope this is of help 🙂maltheviking

Chris. Thanks Chris………. I had not seen this site but I was aware of the F/P motor being used “down under” it’s just we ain’t got em here, unless you know different 😉
As far as I can make out nobody has experimented with the LG motor, I have a lot of interest with the boys “down under” over the LG on another forum :rolls: this is why I need to get hold of a LG I just don’t fancy paying new price for one if I may end up destroying it 😥 , here’s hoping that someone has one. 🙂
Seamy, I believe that you could be able to get a few hundred watts @12v out of one of these, charge batteries and convert with inverters

It should do Seamy, I have the 2006 on the office comp. and it’s still running. 2007 has been out a while, can’t say I have noticed much difference to the 2006, probably has some of the newer models on it. 😉
