Which begs the question, do the new dryers have this rivet? Can someone provide a photo of such a beast with the model number? Prizes given for first past the post 😉

I’m curious to know what prompted the question in the first place?

……or try unplugging the motor then carry out the usual 6 o’clock reset procedure. Plug the motor back in and repeat that procedure…..fingers crossed 😉

This makes no sense to me as the airflow through the heater box is in the opposite direction, so any dust lifted by the rivet would get blown into the back of the drum and then into the filter.

The build-up in the space without the rivet can be substantial though. That build-up increases until it is in direct contact with the open wire element. So that crude pop rivet modification does have some effect but is far from being the total solution.

I believe the only solution is to reposition the heater further away from the drum aperture and lower the one shot TOC temperature.

The symptoms point to the Impeller Jug (part no 00424099) being at fault here. Easy fix, just make sure you fit it the correct way around. 😉

I don’t know the answer TBH but as the display has only 4 digits I’m curious as to how it shows 6?

The programme module comes preconfigured so there’s no set up or uploading routine required as far as I am aware. You could suggest your customer ‘reset’ the programme by pressing and holding the start button for 5 secs. That just may clear the display message at least?

Remove the front panel to access the door interlock. Either the interlock is faulty or the door handle I expect.

Yes I know these like the back of my own hand 😉

So far not had a problem with this valve specifically but by their very nature new washer dryer valves can be just as reliable as the one you replace.

This elderly customer not being able to isolate the water is not surprising though I’m sure you advised isolating the power once the machine has finished?

Here’s hoping too that your public liability insurance is up to date?
