So many possibles, where do I begin?

Pump is the obvious first place to look, it’s likely the filter is blocked or restricted, so start there 😉

:zap: DO PLEASE PULL THE PLUG BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANYTHING THOUGH :plug:

    Re: Hoover WDM130 Water level

Your machine fills up with only 6 litres of water so therefore if you test it (empty) and observe the water level, it will appear only about 6cms in the bottom of the drum. 🙁

But do please be aware that the drum ‘paddles’ function not only acts as an agitator for the clothes, but also scoops the water up and sprays them with water and cleaning agent. That combined action is the secret of modern washing techniques and we no longer need rely on giving the clothes a good soaking in gallons of precious water as in yesteryear 😀

I’m sure your washing comes out clean enough if you follow the manufacturers instructions closely, and do please refrain from adding more water as this is detrimental to its design capabilities 😯

    ray,

Very unlikely that the inlet solenoid valves are at fault in this case. More likely your water supply needs close attention?

What ‘head of water’ do you have there anyway? The machine really requires at least 1 bar pressure though and in my experience 1.5 to 2 bar are the norm. You could always join both hot and cold feed pipes (using a Y connector) to the cold supply only 💡

Nah! …after a few years good service then the limescale gets it, so 4 – 5 years is reasonable for most elements I reckon. Unless of course the water level sensor fails, then that’s a different story 😯

My goodness yes! The MODULE is the very thing that powers the motor after all. The relays on the PCB are big trouble in themselves, so a close inspection is called for there, but even with no apparent damage it could be duff 🙁

A new one (Part No 91200606) will set you back around £45 – £47

    kt,

Your case may be slightly different and assuming it is a WB120 as well, can I ask you to set the temperature knob to 70 degress and set it on a wash cycle with no clothes in (just 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} detergent though to use this opportunity to give it a ‘service wash’).

Check its progress during the first 30 minutes and you should notice the door glass getting warm. 🙂 If not then the heater is at fault 🙁

Re: Problem with Whirlpool AWM 820

    Wow!

Bit of an elaborate analysis if I may say so. But put as simply as I can, your machine does not have a problem!

Clearly the thermostats are doing their job, so too the heater etc etc. And I guess the end result is your washing is getting washed OK. On a 50degree cycle it will take in cold water and even on a mixed fill, will take in 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} cold anyway.

If it didn’t come out cold after its final spin, then and only then would you have a problem!

To put the metal ring back on the front seal is an art in itself by the way, I use a wire hook and small screwdriver 😉

Re: Hpt wms38 “door locked flashing”

    Deep joy!

Now I have come across a Door Lock Light flashing problem as well 🙁 In my case it’s a WMA34P, I’ve replaced the Interlock (checked the door seal 😉 ) and taken the Module off and given it a good inspection (It looks fine, no blown tracks nor nowt).

Tonys (EMW) comments earlier nevertheless lead me to conclude that the Module must be at fault so I have quoted for a replacement PLUS a new Interlock for good measure.

The exact symtoms are that having pressed the start button, it thinks about it for a few secs, then the Door Lock light flashes. Sometimes if you press and hold the start button for a minute or so it will burst into life, then stop moments later!!!!!!!!!

Masterpart & Wash Vac show that as the correct number (£96 & £85 trade respectively) and neither hold one in stock (special order) 🙁

But at least you got the part number correct Laurence 😀
