Yes keng, the motor could indeed be one of the excuses these modules need to fail. 😕

ParticipantRe: Salt in dishwashers
Just out of interest, having read the “How water softening systems in dishwashers work” link in Kens post there is one thing I am a bit fuzzy about.
I fully understand the process as explained except for the fact that when the calcium ions are attached to the resins, due to the resin having a greater affinity for the hardness ions, why under the regeneration process do the hardness ions let go to be replaced again by sodium ions to which the resins have a lesser infinity?Martin114
ParticipantRe: Thank you …
Just got back from the Derby training seminar and would like to thank Rob Dray and UKW for all their efforts.
I found the detergents training very useful indeed and ISE section very interesting and exciting.
I would advise everyone who hasn’t already been to one of these sessions to grab the opportunity as soon as possible – you won’t regret it.
Thanks also for the free clothing and detergents, very nice.

Extra revenue could be raised to pay for them
What a surprise that the revenue they would make is mentioned 🙄

ParticipantRe: Cheap Fuel?
Well I have registered, l also run a big van and I can’t see a problem with trying to reduce my highly excessive fuel costs. Thanks for the link Chris.

ParticipantRe: HOTPOINT WMA 10 NO SPIN
Bit of a long shot, but what about the RF suppressor?.
Not had this problem on a wma, but used to get problems with the old servis quartz – computer resetting when ramping up to spin under load!Martin114
ParticipantRe: Washing machine not doing spin cycle
Totally agree with bassman on this one. Had loads in the past and got quite used to disconnecting the capacitor switching wiring at the timer and fitting a pair of capacitors tapped into the motor loom on the chassis. Makes a much more reliable job of it. 😀

The Company have advised us that this was not a safety critical fault as when the dishwasher door is opened all power to the accessible exposed wiring is ,in fact, cut off and therefore there is no risk of electrocution to the user.So what route does the live feed going to the door switch take then?
