I wondered why I had not received my email from the PM, but I have just noticed a few of them in the JUNK MAIL folder!

Just had a call in for bearings on a WFB4001GB/01. Not done one before – does the bearing spider remove through the back panel or does the tub have to be taken out?

    Cheers

    Re: A Warning

I generally unplug the, what is the obvious, plug – put the volt stick around the mains suppressor – then tap the live connector with the end of my finger incase wrong plug and failed volt stick! ( I wouldn’t do it if I wasn’t sure no live feed – just a game of pretend courage really) 😈 😈 😈

I think 25ohms is a very low reading for the thermister, I would have expected it to in the Kohms range. May be it thinks its already hot enough.

Re: Module repair – handy triacs

Cheers Andy, I will be getting some in then. By the way, I found the advice on obtaining pcb relays from CPC – for the Indesit modules very useful, and have also used them a few times on zanussi dishwasher cards.
    All the best

    Re: Whirlpool

Hi Mike, If you use a step up transformer, then it will still output at 60 hz.
I cant see why this should present any problem at all to the running of the machine as long as the transformer can supply the current required.

Re: Grease for bearing seal Hotpoint WMA series

I don’t use any grease at all as It seems to me that the wma seal should be firmly fixed to the shaft and does not rotate inside it – the actual seal is inside the metal housing of the seal.
