    Re: Electra AMW800A NO SPIN

Pretty sure this machine uses an induction motor. I would check the start capacitor.

The noise sounds to me like belt slip on the drum pulley. I would try taking off the shine on the pulley where the belt rides with some emery paper, or replace the belt.

Yes I agree with what you say Ken, but what else can you do when the machine leaks on test with no load and no detergent and also no improvement with differing water flow rates?
The fact is it leaks and the customer wants it sorted.
Also I have had the problem in the past where a new soap box has sorted the problem.

Re: ISE 10 leak from soap drawer

Still got it to do. I have the dispenser ready to fit but customer had been away and I am waiting for their call to complete the job.

Just like yours the customer has been putting tablet into drum and rarely using conditioner, but even varying water flow rate will not stop it leaking.

Yes I noticed the top cover was not fully clipped in place but after doing that, there was no improvement. I can only think distortion/warping is causing it.

Re: ISE 10 leak from soap drawer

Just been to another W256W leaking dispenser.

Ive tried everything suggested here but cannot stop it leaking down the front and inside the front panel.

The customer doesn’t use the dispenser apart from occasional fabric conditioner as they put tabs into the drum.

On my tests it leaked quite badly on fill even though there is no detergent, softener, or load in the drum.

I tried adjusting water inflow rate but no different, also checked tank venting and soap delivery hoses also no problem.

There seems no option but to replace the box complete.

Glad it worked Steve, but i’m surprised it worked without a new sensor being fitted!

If this model has a turbidity sensor then I would try changing it. I had one some time ago with this fault and replacing the sensor cured it.

Also if its got a water drain pipe next to the filter check its not pulled off the pump housing.

Re: 2 Pole Voltage / Continuity testers.

I know its a lot more money but I use a Megger MMC850 Multi Core – Single Core Clamp meter. It is so convenient being able to clamp around the whole flex especially where sockets are either not accessible or may be hard wired in. Great for indicating when the heater powers up on machines.
