    I have come across one that was a smeg [mod di612] i think.

    Thnks for your reply lerch.I found out customer had a go before calling someone out to look at the drier and he put the back fan back on back to front, so that’s what restricted the flow of air through it.

    I’ve also been to two:

    first one 13 months old bearings gone,

    SECOND one 14 months old BEARINGS also gone.

    Don’t think alot more needs to said.

    Thanks for your reply Brian,went back out to the cooker . Reset made no difference ,I did notice that there was no feeling of a click when I pushed the button should there be.

    Bend capillary {probe} end in a u shape about one & half inches first [BUT DO NOT KINK IT]then do as you describe.

    A greasy grill or frying pan works, if one is not available, just
    pour some cooking oil into it and the suds will break up, rancid oil works best.
