    very useful information , I also found BSH00751791 which is grey, it eis strange that BSH told me I would have to buy a complete door, they are usually very good with their parts information.

    thanks for reply, once it has switched on it will turn on and off as normal, it is only when it has been left off for some time it is reluctant to switch on again. It makes no differance if you push switch firmly or gently it just needs a lot of pushes

    Was advised years ago by an ex Whirlpool engineer, that there is (if I remember) a 6A fuse which regularily goes, was told to up the rating slightly.
    Have only done this once when a similar fault happened and it has worked merrily for years. Meggered all the usual suspects at the time and all tested perfectly.

    Thanks for your help, it is a 6.3 time delay in the loom at the top will try as you suggest. It all meggers ok and runs for months at a time with no problems.

    there are no numbers after gb on appliance, but on BSH Appliance care site there are two versons both of which use part 489424.
