    Thanks Dave… Got some of those on the van so will try those.. thought I would try and get original type but looks loke a lost cause..

    Might be this type motor is new and they haven got round to releasing brushes for it yet as tried Masterpart/Connect and they’re saying motor only?

    Will let you know if they fit… re-booked for Friday

    Do you get all the sevice info on the disc or is it just part no’s and exploded views? …

    If it only lasts for 6mths is that because it is date coded to your computer or does it self destruct!!! (shades of Mission Imposible?)..

    Still think the price is a bit steep when you consider the Distripart disc that dosen’t self destruct

    Hi folks

    Think Tony might have a point here because if the heater isn’t working the machine will march through programe… but if the heater is coming on then you should be able to pick that up with a ammeter. If the heater isn’t coming on then there might be an open circuit in the heater wiring somwhere if the wiring hasn’t been secured properly. (crimp ends etc.)

    Just a guess?

    Thanks for that info Dave… I’ll wait a bit and see if anyone knows how to get it off (the timer knob that is!).. there’s bound to be someone out there…

    oops.. just re read the post and you wanted 90deg valves… the number I gave you was for ordernary straight through type… sorry 😳

    Think Connect still do a pattern dual cold valve part no VAL3634.. sorry havn’t got a hot valve no..

    Got module from EMW (phone no 0115 9652118) the other day for £41 recon with 12mth waranty – brill they even configered the board so it was straight swap.. just return the old one 😀

    Been back to call today with AGE pump picture looks like a no fit as outlet looks bigger and at the wrong angle.. original pump has outlet at 90deg to housing.. so repair was lost do to Hotpoint pricing policy making it an unviable repair due to cost… (grump)..

    Thanks for the help folks.. tried prising these pesky clips apart but always seem to damage the clip beyond repair so will try and be more carefull next time.. will also try Halfords and see if the tool any better.. taking picure of pump to cust see if that looks like it might fit otherwise looks like I will end up loosing call due to pump expense.. can’t bielive it.. heck.. i’m sounding like Victor Meldrew… 🙁

    Any idea’s about tool for removing clips.. seen these clips on Hotpoint and Indesit D/Washers

    Customer can’t wait and mulling over new motor option.. looks like they might be getting a new m/c so put magnet retreval on hold and might try and retreve a couple on next motors I change as they are no longer availible..

    Seems a dam shame people scraping a good working m/c because of small item that manifactures don’t or wont make avalible.. still that seems the nature of the bussiness these day’s 🙁

    Thanks Hotdog.. Used to this at one time but had a number of tubes that had corroded round the c/face bed so decided to changing tube was the better option.. Still got a bellows seal on the van so if I can get hold of a tripod kit looks like a strip down to see if it is viable repair.

    Can you still get tripod kits of they obsolete aswell?
