Not up to spec on Distri stuff but as far as I am aware the error code is –
    EF5 – E(rror) F(15 red) 5(5 green)

Doctor Google suggests unbalanced load error

The only official way to get the settings software is by purchasing a smartcard.

Firms who repair modules usually build their own library of settings files by making a copy of the settings file from modules they have repaired.

In cases where they have not had previous access to a readable board for a particular model they would need to purchase the settings smartcard. Or use a friendly Whirlpool engineer who is willing to risk his/her job.

Personally I would not fit an 8. The motor will have more starting power but will run hotter. Do you have a 12 or 13mfd to add in series with the 8?

Assuming no problems with earth continuity or insulation then this could be the display module or the main power module (not easy to tell which without trying another display module).

Could be a sensitive tact power switch or bad joints around this area. A momentary connection across the power tact will bring the machine out of standby but only a sustained connection will initiate standby.

Sorry, this machine is fitted with a sealed tank. The bearings are not available separately.

Correct, if the door locks then the locking triac is likely to be ok.
Sounds like a short somewhere else in the machine which would only blow when the lock thermal switch closes.
Any damage visible on the new board?

If the PTC or plastic supports short out then the lock triac usually takes a hit.

Must be mechanical door problem (handle/spring), interlock, lock wiring or PCB.

The only thing I can find for Error 2 is temperature sensor/sensing fault.

All depends on the components fitted to your machine in production. If the donor machine was fitted with the same motor & type of pressure sensor etc then it will work correctly. However, there have been several versions of this model with differing electronics, motors etc.

The fault F18 is a communication failure between the main processor and the digital signal processor on the main board. This could be the CPU, DSP or other components on the main board.

I would check the display module (start tact switch) and the plastic module container.

Most likely just a white duct tape.

Possible front PCB. Could still be the main PCB. Hard to say without checking the stored error log.
Have you a used front board from a similar model to try?
