ParticipantHi Jem
Just wondering if the new card reader solves the programming problem?

ParticipantHi Jem
My card reader purchased in 2016 part no C00272306
Code: 162002321.00
BL: 01.01.00
FW 01.04.01
SN: 1528500748You may find the Russian ‘skyprog’ an interesting tool. It’s not perfect but will read/write most pre-whirlpool modules.
There is a demo available on the authors site.

ParticipantHi Jem
I remember reading something about alignment of the connection pads on some dishwaher modules.
On checking further this turmed out to be the DE701 module but it’s worth checking the connection as the pins may be wearing on your old programmer.
I have several workshop programming solutions to use and the latest smartcard programmer but distance is a problem.

ParticipantI have both in stock and can confirm that it is plug compatible (2=N, 3=L and 4=C)

ParticipantNot had one of these machines in for a bearing job yet so I would have to guess the spanner size
The specifications are M10 thread 26mm long and a 38mm washer with 9.2mm hole. The head diameter is not specified but If it follows the standard rules it should be 17mm.
Many manufacturers use custom sizes just to make life more interesting.

ParticipantWhen an NTC goes down to earth it often damages the PCB.
If lucky the damage is limited to one or both of the SMD resistors connected to KN4 PINS 5&6
There have been 3 revisions of PCB for this model. The heater/ NTC sensor connections are unchanged so the diagram in your inbox should help

ParticipantUnfortunately I have not seen a Miele bearing job, Way too expensive for my customers.
Just guessing from a picture of the genuine seal kit (part no. 5387003) The deeper (flanged) oil seal may be used to provide the pressure on the tank/spider gasket. If this is the case then the tank/spider gasket is likely to leak.
Difficult to say more without strippling the job down to see what the flanged genuine seal does.

ParticipantFor a standard R23 double lip seal 35x76x10/14
35mm inner diameter
76mm outer diameter
10mm outer depth
14mm inner depthThe genuine seal is not a standard R23 type. It is marked as 18mm thick but this may be the total depth taking the extra stepped rubber flange into account.

ParticipantUsually the black sponge outer seal that goes flat at the right hand side. Never had a problem with the grey inner condenser seal, can’t see how this one could cause a leak.

ParticipantHave you checked the heater NTC for earth faults? The white or grey coloured sensors are prone to failure and in some cases can damage the PCB.

ParticipantAlso worth checking that the start capacitor is within specifications.

ParticipantHi Dave,
Could be a duff board or it may just need reprogramming.
Some versions of software track the water level and can get lost if the level changes while the machine is disconnected from power.
Try a lot of water (rinse level) then plug in and pump it out, letting the program finish.
Regards, Murv…

ParticipantSounds like a duff pcb only feeding half wave to the pump.
